Floyd Central High School, located in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, is one of southern Indiana’s most successful and well-rounded athletic programs. Known as the Highlanders, Floyd Central competes in the Hoosier Hills Conference and is a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). The school has achieved sustained success across football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, golf, swimming, cross country, and track and field. Floyd Central is particularly renowned for its girls basketball program, which captured multiple IHSAA state championships and has consistently ranked among Indiana’s elite. The Highlanders have also enjoyed state-level success in baseball, golf, and tennis while producing numerous collegiate athletes. Supported by a large student body, excellent facilities, and strong community backing, Floyd Central has developed a culture centered on competitiveness, sportsmanship, and academic achievement.
