Franklin High School is the largest public high school in Macon County, North Carolina, serving grades 9–12. Located near downtown Franklin, it is part of the Macon County Schools district. The school offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular programs and boasts a 98% graduation rate as of 2023. The school colors are red and white, with gray as an alternate color. FHS is known for its athletics program, competing in the Smoky Mountain Conference under the team name "Panthers."
