Hernando High School, located in Brooksville, Florida, is one of the Nature Coast’s most historic public-school athletic programs and has built a proud tradition of success across a wide range of sports. Known as the Leopards, the school competes in the Florida High School Athletic Association and has achieved sustained success in football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, golf, tennis, swimming, track and field, cross country, weightlifting, and lacrosse. Hernando is particularly renowned for football, where the Leopards have captured district championships, made numerous state playoff appearances, and established one of the strongest traditions in Hernando County.
