Merkel High School, located in Merkel, Texas, is one of West Texas’ respected small-school athletic programs and has built a proud tradition of success across multiple sports. Known as the Badgers, the school competes in the University Interscholastic League and fields teams in football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, golf, tennis, track and field, cross country, powerlifting, and cheer.
