AZ Compass Prep to Host Annual Classic Tournament

AZ Compass Prep, one of the nation’s top high school basketball teams, will host the 2026 AZ Compass Classic on their campus in Chandler, Arizona, from February 6 to 8.

As of writing, Compass Prep ranks 15th in the National Rivals Composite Rankings and eighth in the Massey Ratings. For this tournament, they will host 12 other teams, based on their X post on January 22.

The CIA-Bella Vista Bears, a Nike Elite Youth Basketball League squad, will be one of the competitors. They have won 13 of their first 16 games and defeated nationally ranked teams such as SPIRE Academy and Dynamic Prep. The Bears also earned a 63-59 win over AZ Compass Prep earlier this month.

Also participating are the SoCal Academy Bears and the Layton Christian Eagles, Utah’s No. 3 team in the Rivals Composite Rankings. Arizona-based Sequoia Charter Stallions will also join the AZ Compass Classic.

Other teams competing are Premier Prep, Skyline Prep, ABC Prep, DNA Prep, Drive Academy, 5ive Star Academy, and AU NZ Prep. Each team will play three games throughout the weekend. However, game schedules are not yet available.

Compass Prep boasts of a roster led by four-star prospects DeMarcus Henry, Quincy Wadley, Kaden House (Maryland), Kalek House (Xavier), and Miikka Muurinen.

In addition to the boys’ basketball team, the AZ Compass Prep Girls National Team will also compete in the three-day tournament. Similarly, Compass Prep’s grounds may host some matches, such as at Skyline Gila River and Skyline Prep High School.
