Can the Slinger Owls (WI) complete another undefeated season in 2025?

The Slinger Owls finished the 2024 Wisconsin high school football season with a 14-0 record. Their undefeated run ended with a one-point victory over Rice Lake to win the Wisconsin Division 2 state championship.

They’ve had other close calls, especially with their two games against Homestead, with a total winning margin of four points. Meanwhile, both their victories against Badger, Wisconsin’s 24^th-best team last year, went down to one possession.

Ending the season unblemished, the Slinger Owls were named Wisconsin’s top team based on the On3 Composite Team Rankings. With another campaign about to start, Slinger’s mission is simple: defend their championship, whether they complete another undefeated run or not. To achieve that goal, the Owls must have favorable results throughout the regular season.

The Slinger Owls will start the 2025 Wisconsin high school football season against Menomonee Falls at home on August 22. A week later, the Owls will renew a rivalry in a road game against Badger.

Meanwhile, Slinger’s September schedule starts with a home game against Hartford on September 5. After this, they will alternate between home and away games, starting with a road game versus West Bend West on September 12. The Owls return home to welcome Nicolet on September 19 and hit the road again to face Whitefish Bay on the 26^th.

Finally, the Owls will close the 2025 regular season with three games in October. Slinger will play West Bend East at home on October 3 and will take the trip to Homestead, Wisconsin’s 16^th-best team, on October 10. A week later, the Slinger Owls will close the regular season against Cedarburg.
