Corky Kell & Dave Hunter Classic releases 2026 matchups

The 35th annual Corky Kell + Dave Hunter High School Football Classic already announced which teams will be playing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but on Thursday released the rest of the 2026 slate of games.

“The 35th year will be a special one for us,” Executive Director and Score Atlanta President IJ Rosenberg said in a release via SCORE Atlanta. “We are going to bring back some of the great players that played over the years in the Corky Kell & Dave Hunter Classic including a group that played in the NFL or is currently playing in the NFL. We are also adding a music component with some of the top high school bands in Georgia that I feel the fans will really enjoy.”

One of the matchups was leaked in mid-January was No. 23 nationally ranked Grayson announcing it would be taking on North Gwinnett, the No. 6 ranked team in Georgia according to the Massey Rankings, to start the 2026 season. Grayson ended last season as the No. 5 ranked team in the Peach State, according to the final Georgia 2025 High School Football Massey Rankings.

The game is set to take place on Wednesday night on Aug. 12 between the Rams and the Bulldogs at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
