Barstool Sports CEO and founder Dave Portnoy hinted on his weekly college pick’em podcast show that he might be going be going to a gigantic Ohio high school football playoff game tonight.

Portnoy decided to make good on his insinuation he made earlier in the week and has shown up to the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Region 4 championship game between Elder and St. Xavier, which was officially moved to Paycor Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals.

“I may go to a high school football game on Friday night,” Portnoy said on his weekly podcast. “I’m not sure. There’s some gigantic Ohio football game that they had to move from where they play to where the Bengals play.”

Originally the postseason game was supposed to be played at Beacon Orthopaedics TriHealth Stadium in Mason, but the contest was moved to Paycor Stadium to accommodate for what’s expected to be a massive crowd that’s sold over 20,000 paid tickets.

Per the Massey Ratings latest Ohio high school football rankings, Elder is ranked No. 1 and St. Xavier is at No. 4. The two teams met during the regular season back on Sep. 26, with the Panthers edging out the Bombers, 23-13.

With a game that’s reaching record numbers, seeing Portnoy attend the contest only adds to the excitement the Panthers-Bombers rivalry brings to the Cincinnati region.
