Final Oklahoma High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Dec. 8

The Oklahoma high school football season has come to a close as the OHSAA state championships concluded last week.

The Bixby Spartans remain Oklahoma high school football’s best team and currently hold the title of No. 2 team in the country as of the latest Rivals National High School Football Top 25 Rankings. The Spartans finished the drill by beating No. 2 Owasso, 31-17. Following in right behind them in the Oklahoma ranks is Jenks and Owasso at 2-3.

What other Oklahoma high school football teams should be considered among the best out of the Sooner State?

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest Oklahoma high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Dec. 8.

1. Bixby Spartans

Bixby (13-0) won an eighth consecutive Class 6A-I championship last week when they defeated Owasso, 31-17, in the state championship.

The Spartans opened the 2025 Oklahoma high school football season with a 49-21 whooping of Owasso. It was just last year when the Spartans notched a one-point victory over the Rams to capture their tenth Class 6A-I state championship.

The Spartans received strong quarterback play from senior Carson Kirby, who has thrown for 2,939 yards and 39 touchdowns. Bixby has one of the top offensive line units in the state, thanks to four-star prospect Kaeden Penny (Oklahoma commit) and Jacob Hamlin.

2. Jenks Trojans

The Jenks Trojans (10-2) wasn’t able to beat Owasso for a second time a couple weeks Class 6A-I state semifinals, falling in a heartbreaking 39-36 decision.

One of the highlights from the regular season was Kansas commitment Kaydin Jones a few weeks ago against the Mustang Broncos setting numerous school records, which included the single game rushing yards (445), touchdowns in a contest (eight scores), all-purpose yards in a game (549) and touchdowns for a high school career at Jenks (67).

3. Owasso Rams

Owasso (10-3) fell to Bixby, 31-17, in last week’s Class 6A-I title rematch. The Rams had notched 10 straight victories, which has included wins over teams like Jenks, Memorial, Norman North, Santa Fe, Union, Westmoore and Yukon, respectively.

In having to face Bixby once again in a state championship game rematch, Owasso’s defense will need to find a way to slow down the Spartans’ offense if they want any chance of upsetting the state’s top team.

The Rams feature one of the top offenses in the state, led by quarterback Drew Frankenfield, wide receiver Takhari Bethel, defensive lineman Tajh Overton, safety Carter Langenderfer, offensive lineman Brooks Barron, and wideout Julius Wilson.

4. Broken Arrow Tigers

Broken Arrow (9-3) was up against all odds when they faced No. 1 Bixby a couple weeks ago, with the Tigers’ season coming to an end after a 49-17 defeat at the hands of the Spartans.

The Tigers’ stout offensive attack throughout the season has been led by senior signal caller Jeramiah Ssettimba, who has thrown for 911 yards and seven touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. Junior Samaj Stanford has been a force on both sides of the ball, making 80 tackles on defense and compiling 670 all-purpose yards on offense.

5. Lincoln Christian School Bulldogs

The undefeated Lincoln Christian School (13-0) Bulldogs haven’t allowed a eight points in their last seven games.

The Bulldogs are coming off five straight blowout victories and have out-scored their last seven opponents by a combined score of 536-10. Quarterback Carter Ricke has been very efficient this season, completing 151 of 206 passes for 2,581 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Lincoln Christian School added another blowout win with a 55-0 decison over Kingfisher and had notched their sixth straight shut out victory when they take on Heritage Hall (11-1) this week.
