Maryland High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 4

The high school football regular season concluded for most teams in Maryland last week, and the top programs in the Old Line State are now focused on the postseason.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Maryland high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov. 4.

1. St. Frances Academy Panthers

The Panthers have steamrolled over their opponents heading into the Maryland high school football playoffs. They’ve given up only seven points in their last six games and have shut down The St. James Academy in their last encounter 35-0. Likewise, this victory pushes St. Frances Academy’s winning streak to seven games.

2. DeMatha Catholic Stags

The Stags maintained a perfect 9-0 record after a 42-14 victory over Gonzaga. DeMatha Catholic scored 21 first-quarter points and never looked back. Being undefeated throughout the regular season makes them a strong postseason contender.

3. Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers

The Cavaliers closed the 2025 Maryland high school football season with a 56-20 victory over Mount Saint Joseph. It’s Archbishop Spalding’s seventh consecutive victory, giving them good momentum for the playoffs.

4. Good Counsel Falcons

The Falcons had a bye following their 13-7 loss to Gonzaga. Good Counsel will face Bishop McNamara on November 7.

5. McDonogh School Eagles

The Eagles won their last two games in shutout fashion. After their 25-0 win over Concordia Prep, they closed the 2025 Maryland high school football regular season with a 31-0 blanking of Gilman. McDonogh School will start the playoffs against St. Mary’s on November 7.
