The Rivals’ National High School Football Top 25 Rankings via Massey Ratings for the fourth straight week sees Oklahoma’s top ranked Bixby Spartans at the No. 1 spot in the rankings as they head into this week’s OHSAA Class 6A state championship game.

The undefeated Spartans showed their dominance in a Class 6A state semifinal as they rolled to a 49-17 win over Broken Arrow. Vaulting inside of the Top 5 teams in the country in this week’s set of rankings is Georgia’s Carrollton after they knocked out Grayson, 34-14, in last week’s state quarterfinals. Which other programs were able to make the leap this week into the national top 25 rankings?

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest National high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Dec. 1.

1. Bixby (Okla.) (12-0)

The Bixby Spartans (12-0) will take aim at winning an 11th state championship this week after they defeated Broken Arrow, 49-17, this past Friday night.Loren Montgomery’s group will take on a familiar foe in Owasso, in the OHSAA’s Class 6A state championship game in Tulsa later this week.

The Spartans have been unstoppable on offense, averaging 62.8 points per game, as they throughly dominated on their way to an undefeated 10-0 2025 campaign and now two postseason victories and a chance for a third.

Senior quarterback Carson Kirby has been a steady hand behind center for Bixby, with the passer completing 170 of 244 passes for 2,701 yards and 38 touchdowns. The Spartans have remained the top team out of Oklahoma and are now looking to win an eighth consecutive Oklahoma state championship this week to cap what has been a breakthrough season on the national stage.

2. Southlake Carroll (TX) (13-0)

Southlake Carroll (13-0) have made it look too easy through the first few of rounds of the Class 6A, Division II playoffs, winning the first two games by a combined score of 107-7. Last week’s matchup with Prosper, a 49-31 victory, was the toughest game Southlake Carroll has had this season.

The Dragons look to continue their march towards competing for a state championship when they take on Guyer this Friday night.

There’s little question that Southlake Carroll might be playing the best football of the season behind the play of their high-octane offense. Leading the way is Pittsburgh commit Angelo Renda and Ohio State pledge Brock Boyd, with the pair fueling a Dragons’ offense that’s averaging over 50 points per game this season.

3. IMG Academy (Fla.) (9-0)

IMG Academy (9-0) looked on track to face rival St. Frances Academy (Md.) in what many feel like would be a de facto national high school football championship game.

All of that changed course as the Ascenders announced they would not be rescheduling their game against their rivals out of Baltimore. Now is IMG Academy’s undefeated record for the opponents they faced enough to get them close enough to the top?

For high school football fans, this definitely a loss as folks were looking forward to what kind of matchup it would’ve been on a national high school football stage. The Ascenders’ season is officially over.

4. Carrollton (Ga.) (12-0)

The Carrollton Trojans made their stake to being not only the best team out of the state of Georgia, but possibly in the land as they soundly defeated previously No. 10 ranked Grayson in a 34-14 decision.

The Trojans were coming off a dominating 51-6 victory over Harrison in the second round of the postseason before knocking off the previously unbeaten Rams and have averaged 47.6 points per game through their first three playoff games. Joey King’s bunch will take on North Gwinnett for a chance to return to the Class 6A state championship after falling short last season on the big stage.

Carrollton has received tremendous play from the backfield duo of freshman quarterback Christian Cypher (1,804 yards, 24 touchdowns) and running back Cameron Wood (1,185 yards, 28 touchdowns).

5. Allen (TX) (13-0)

Other than Southlake Carroll, no other Texas high school football team has been more consistent than the Allen Eagles. The Eagles in the third round matchup against Permian in a 56-13 rout as Allen moves on in the UIL’s Class 6A, Division I playoffs.

Now the mega matchup we’ve all been waiting for will take place as Allen will take on defending state champion North Crowley on Friday night. Can the Eagles knock off the Panthers and reach the state semifinals?

The Eagles (13-0) in the opening round just narrowly got by Lewisville in a 22-15 battle that went all the way down to the wire. Allen’s offense has been sizzling behind the play of the wide receiving tandem Arizona three-star commit Caleb Smith (65 catches, 800 yards) and Carter Harris (28 catches, 900 yards).

6. Aledo (TX) (13-0)

The Aledo Bearcats (13-0) streak of scoring 70-plus points in five straight games ended a couple weeks ago in a 42-0 victory over Tascosa in the second round of the UIL Class 5A, Division I playoffs. the Bearcats continued their dominance last week in the playoffs with a 55-0 rout of Arlington Heights and will take on Ryan this week.

When it comes to red hot national high school football teams out of the Lone Star State, Aledo is a team that has been rolling offensively behind a slew of playmakers on the offensive end. The Bearcats this season has been humming on offense and averaging a sizzling 52.3 points per game.

7. Buford (Ga.) (13-0)

Buford Wolves have shown time and time again that they’re viable favorites to win Georgia’s Class 6A high school football classification this season as they defeated Douglas County, 30-15, last week.

The Wolves improved to 10-0 a few weeks ago after a 35-3 win over a very good Mill Creek team and followed it up with wins over Richmond Hill and Newton to start the 6A postseason. Is a matchup with No. 4 Carrollton in Buford’s future?

One of the top defensive front sevens in the Peach State resides in Buford, as they feature four-star edge rushers Bryce Perry-Wright (Texas A&M) and Dre Quinn (Clemson) along with four-star safety Tyriq Green (Georgia). Through 13 games, the defense has only yielded 130 points (10.0 ppg) and has shown they can play with the best of ‘em.

Buford (13-0) have another heavyweight fight on their hands this week when they take on America’s most winningest high school football program in the legendary Valdosta Wildcats.

8. Duncanville (TX) (10-1)

The Duncanville Panthers (10-1) are on a roll as they defeated Klein Collins, 34-7, in the third round of the UIL Class 6A, Division I playoffs.

If there’s more supporting evidence to believe this Duncanville team could make a serious run to the state championship, it’s because of the improved play of their defense, behind Ole Miss commitment Landon Barnes (17.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks).

Now the Panthers will look to avenge their only loss of the season when they take on Waxahachie on Friday night.

9. Corner Canyon (UT) (12-1)

Corner Canyon (12-1) concluded their 2025 Utah high school football season with a 35-20 win over Lone Peak for the 6A crown. The Chargers got a huge performance from running back Weston Briggs, who rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns in the victory.

What was unveiled a day later was the Chargers will be facing No. 11 ranked St. Frances Academy (Md.) for the first-ever Overtime Nationals high school football championship on Dec. 10 in Baltimore. If Corner Canyon pulls off the win, are the Chargers the best team in the country?

Texas A&M commitment Helaman Casuga has been the engine to make the Chargers’ offense go this season as he’s completed 210 of 307 passes for 3,487 yards and 37 touchdowns.

10. North Crowley (TX) (13-1)

The defending Class 6A Div. I state champions are looking more and more like the team that won it all last year as they are coming off a 46-21 rout of Coppell last week in the playoffs.

The Panthers opened up the 2025 campaign with a 22-18 win over Lancaster continued the winning ways with a 36-27 victory against DeSoto. Last week, North Crowley cruised to a 70-21 win over Mansfield ahead of their regular season finale versus CrowleyNorth Crowley seems to have figured out everything offensively after somewhat struggling to start the season.

The Panthers have a major showdown with No. 5 Allen this week for a chance to return to the state semifinals.
