National Top 25 Rankings AFI

The national high school football rankings via Massey Ratings has seen numerous new No. 1’s throughout the season and there’s a new top-ranked team in Southlake Carroll (10-0) of Texas.

The Dragons closed out their regular season with a blowout 49-3 victory over Keller Central. Right behind Southlake Carroll is Bixby, Allen, IMG Academy and Buford 2-5. Which other programs were able to climb into the national rankings this week?

As the regular season enters the final around the country, high school football teams around the nation continue their quest for the all mythical national crown.

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest National high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 3.

1. Southlake Carroll (TX) (10-0)

The Massey Ratings’ new top-ranked team hails from the Lone Star State in these latest national high school football rankings are the undefeated Southlake Carroll Dragons after they romped another opponent, defeating  Keller Central in a 49-3 romp.

There’s little question that Southlake Carroll (10-0) might be playing the best football of the season behind the play of their high-octane offense. Leading the way is Pittsburgh commit Angelo Renda and Ohio State pledge Brock Boyd, with the pair fueling a Dragons’ offense that’s averaging over 50 points per game this season.

Southlake Carroll has completed a perfect 10-0 regular season and now await who they will play in the UIL postseason.

2. Bixby (Okla.) (9-0)

The Bixby Spartans (9-0) move up a couple spots in the latest national high school football rankings after they dominated Deer Creek, 79-15, last week and gave head coach Loren Montgomery his 150th win of his coaching career.

The Spartans have been unstoppable on offense, averaging 64.6 points per game, with their last regular season contest against Norman, looking to complete a 10-0 campaign.

Senior quarterback Carson Kirby has been a steady hand behind center for Bixby, with the passer completing 127 of 178 passes for 2,075 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions. The Spartans have remained the top team out of Oklahoma and are looking to win an eighth consecutive state championship.

3. Allen (TX) (9-0)

Other than Southlake Carroll, no other Texas high school football team has been more consistent than the Allen Eagles. The Eagles’ latest win was a 63-0 victory over McKinney Boyd last week and will take on Plano East to finish out the regular season with aim at a 10-0 record.

The Eagles (9-0) has been able to run through the opposing competition with ease, as they showed in recent victories over a previously undefeated Plano group, 56-0, and Princeton, 62-14.

The offense has been sizzling behind the play of Arizona three-star wide receiver commit Caleb Smith, who has made 49 catches, racking up 673 yards and scoring seven touchdowns.

4. IMG Academy (Fla.) (9-0)

IMG Academy (9-0) made their second trip to the state of New Jersey and picked another victory, this time knocking off Hun School in a 31-13 decision. The Ascenders have looked like the country’s best team on a weekly basis.

The Ascenders recently rolled to a 38-14 win over East St. Louis (Ill.) and now are slated to face off against rival No. 7 St. Frances Academy (Md.), which is coming off a 35-0 win over The St. James Academy (Va.).

Senior running back Le’Khy Thompkins has been the team’s battering ram on offense as the bell cow rushed for nearly 200 yards in the win over the Flyers.

5. Buford (Ga.) (10-0)

Are the Buford Wolves the prohibitive favorite to win Georgia’s Class 6A high school football classification?

The Wolves improved to 10-0 last week after a 35-3 win over a very good Mill Creek team, the latest impressive win in their march towards an undefeated campaign. If there is a team that seems primed to knock Grayson off of its pedestal, it looks like Buford would be that threat.

One of the top defensive front sevens in the Peach State resides in Buford, as they feature four-star edge rushers Bryce Perry-Wright (Texas A&M) and Dre Quinn (Clemson) along with four-star safety Tyriq Green (Georgia). Through nine games, the defense has only yielded 101 points and has shown they can play with the best of ‘em.

Buford (10-0) will open the GHSA’s Class 6A state playoffs against Richmond Hill.

6. St. John Bosco (Calif.) (9-1)

St. John Bosco (9-1) falls to the sixth spot after a 36-31 loss to rival No. 14 Mater Dei last week.

The Braves’ 27-14 victory over Santa Margarita Catholic a couple weeks ago on the road, provided another piece of evidence on just why St. John Bosco would be a worthy of the No. 1 ranking in the country.

Through the first couple of weeks of the regular season, St. John Bosco only got to play two quarters against Manatee (Fla.), coming away with a 31-0 victory, the Braves returned home and routed Texas’ Eastwood 66-7. Though St. John Bosco has a loss heading into the playoffs, they are still one of the best teams in the country and have everything in front of them.

When the CIF Division I playoffs begin on Nov. 14, the Braves will open up against Orange Lutheran, which qualified as an at-large.

7. St. Frances Academy (Md.) (6-1)

St. Frances Academy (6-1) made sure to remind folks in the DMV know who the best team in the region is as they rolled to a 35-0 win over Virginia’s No. 1 ranked The St. James Academy on Saturday night at Under Armour Stadium in Baltimore.

The Panthers have leaned on Virginia commit Jae’Oyn Williams and 2027 running back Sa’Nir Brooks, as the pair helped them cruise past Chaminade-Madonna Prep at the Broward County Classic High School Football Showcase. The only loss of the season has come against St. John Bosco (Calif.) on the road, making the Panthers a very viable contender for a mythical national title.

What separates St. Frances Academy from many of the nation’s elites is the play of their defense, led by five-star edge rusher Zion Elee, who is a Maryland commitment. Next up for the Panthers is a game with major national implications versus No. 4 ranked IMG Academy.

8. Aledo (TX) (9-0)

The Aledo Bearcats (9-0) has scored over 70 points in three straight games as they surpassed the total again in last week’s 73-0 win over Azle.

When it comes to red hot teams out of the Lone Star State, Aledo is a team that has been rolling offensively behind a slew of playmakers on the offensive end. The Bearcats this season are averaging a sizzling 47.3 points per game.

The Bearcats will close out the regular season with Denton.

9. Grayson (Ga.) (9-0)

Grayson (9-0) closed the regular season with a 37-12 win over Archer last week.

The loss of quarterback Travis Burgess for the rest of the season was a massive blow, but don’t tell the Grayson that it’s going to hold them back whatsoever. Grayson has done just fine, however, out-scoring opponents 441-86 through nine contests.

Texas five-star commit Tyler Atkinson has been playing very well for the Rams in the front seven, racking up 56 tackles, 18 for a loss and seven sacks.

The Rams are now awaiting on who they will play as they look to defend their Class 6A state championship.

10. North Crowley (TX) (8-1)

The defending Class 6A Div. I state champions is finishing the regular season strong as they’ve averaged 69.5 points per game in their last four games.

The Panthers opened up the 2025 campaign with a 22-18 win over Lancaster continued the winning ways with a 36-27 victory against DeSoto. Last week, North Crowley cruised to a 70-21 win over Mansfield ahead of their regular season finale versus CrowleyNorth Crowley seems to have figured out everything offensively after somewhat struggling to start the season.

The Panthers have firmly entrenched themselves among one of the country’s best teams after a surprising loss to Rockwall during the season.
