The Oklahoma high school football playoffs are heating up around the state as teams come closer to the proverbial finish line.

The Bixby Spartans remain Oklahoma high school football’s best team and currently hold the title of No. 1 team in the country as of the latest Rivals National High School Football Top 25 Rankings. Following in right behind them in the Oklahoma ranks is Jenks and Owasso at 2-3 as the OHSAA postseason rolls on this week into the state semifinal round.

What other Oklahoma high school football teams should be considered among the best out of the Sooner State?

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest Oklahoma high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 24.

1. Bixby Spartans

Bixby (11-0) is looking more and more like the team that should win running away with the Class 6A-I state championship, defeating Union last week, 51-14.

The Spartans opened the 2025 Oklahoma high school football season with a 49-21 whooping of Owasso. It was just last year when the Spartans notched a one-point victory over the Rams to capture their tenth Class 6A-I state championship.

Bixby will have a chance to return to the Class 6A-I championship this week when they take on
Broken Arrow
in the state semifinals on Friday night.

The Spartans has received strong quarterback play from senior Carson Kirby, who has thrown for 2,514 yards and 35 touchdowns. Bixby has one of the top offensive line units in the state, thanks to four-star prospect Kaeden Penny (Oklahoma commit) and Jacob Hamlin.

2. Jenks Trojans

The Jenks Trojans (10-1) this week will look to avenge last season’s 30-27 loss to Owasso in the Class 6A-I state semifinals, as they have already defeated the Rams, 31-21, back in Week 2. Could this be the season Jenks reaches the state championship in Class 6A-I?

Kansas commitment Kaydin Jones a few weeks ago against the Mustang Broncos set numerous school records, which included the single game rushing yards (445), touchdowns in a contest (eight scores), all-purpose yards in a game (549) and touchdowns for a high school career at Jenks (67).

The Trojans notched their 10th win of the 2025 campaign in a 60-28 win over No. 7 ranked Memorial in the quarterfinal round of the postseason.

3. Owasso Rams

Owasso (9-2) started the regular season off with a 1-2 start before beginning to bounce back and now currently riding a 9-game win streak. The Rams have notched nine straight victories over MemorialNorman NorthSanta FeUnionWestmoore and Yukon, respectively.

Now Owasso will faced Yukon again, coming away with a 45-7 thrashing to advance to the Class 6A, D-I state semifinals round this week against Jenks.

The Rams feature one of the top offenses in the state, led by quarterback Drew Frankenfield, wide receiver Takhari Bethel, defensive lineman Tajh Overton, safety Carter Langenderfer, offensive lineman Brooks Barron, and wideout Julius Wilson.

4. Broken Arrow Tigers

Broken Arrow (9-2) were coming off a bye week against a dangerous Mustang bunch and came away with a impressive 29-14 win over the Broncos. Now the Tigers gear up for a showdown with top-ranked Bixby for an opportunity to play in the Class 6A-I state championship game next week.

If they’re going to pull off the unthinkable, Broken Arrow will need its offense to be playing at its best.

The Tigers’ stout offensive attack has been led by senior signal caller Jeramiah Ssettimba, who has thrown for 911 yards and seven touchdowns. Junior Samaj Stanford has been a force on both sides of the ball, making 80 tackles on defense and compiling 670 all-purpose yards on offense.

5. Lincoln Christian School Bulldogs

The undefeated Lincoln Christian School (12-0) Bulldogs haven’t allowed a single point in their last five games.

The Bulldogs are coming off five straight blowout victories and have out-scored their last seven opponents by a combined score of 508-3. Quarterback Carter Ricke has been very efficient this season, completing 145 of 196 passes for 2,538 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Lincoln Christian School added another blowout win with a 55-0 decison over Kingfisher and look to notch their sixth straight shut out victory when they take on Heritage Hall (11-1) this week.
