Rancho Bernardo's Eric Weddle releases team's 2025 football slate

Eric Weddle played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as one of the league’s hardest hitting safeties. When he made the transition from playing to coaching in late 2022, it stunned many around Southern California on the high school sports scene.
Now, Weddle is a regular reposting out his player’s highlights and this past week, the Super Bowl LVI champion released his Rancho Bernardo Broncos 2025 high school football schedule.
‘RBHS 2025 Football Schedule. Lets get it. Great opponents on here. Will be a huge test for the boys this season. #BLUEinBLUEout #LetsBeGREAT‘
Weddle posted out the Broncos’ 10-game regular season slate, which kicks off at home against La Costa Canyon. Rancho Bernardo follows that up with two more home games against La Serna and Torrey Pines before hitting the road to face West Covina.
The five-time NFL All-Pro safety took over Rancho Bernardo from Tristan McCoy, who retired after the 2022 campaign. Weddle gets the unique opportunity to coach his son, Gaige, who plays quarterback for the Broncos.

“It’s amazing, incredible, the joy I get from being around the boys and try to give back. It’s fun to be in a position to lead, teach and motivate through the game of football, it’s the greatest game in the world,” Weddle said to NBC 7 back in 2023.
The younger Weddle is a Class of 2028 prospect and in 2024 finished the season completing 74-of-117 passes for 1,115 yards, 12 touchdowns and only two picks. He also rushed for 635 yards on 90 touches, scored nine times and already has offers from BYU, Oregon State, San Diego and USC.
