Teddy Bridgewater attends Miami Northwestern playoff game
Miami Northwestern (Fla.) rolled to a 52-21 win over Orlando Bishop Moore Catholic in a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A state semifinal on Friday night and the Bulls had a special guest on hand for the victory.
Former Miami Northwestern head coach and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was at the playoff game, giving high fives to the players after the contest to congratulate them on the victory. The Bulls will face Jacksonville Raines next week on Friday night in a rematch of last year’s Class 3A state title game.
The former Miami Northwestern head coach is currently under a suspension by the school for the 2025-26 school year due to the allegations of providing impermissible benefits to his players.
It was a whirlwind year and a half for Bridgewater during his tenure at his alma mater Miami Northwestern as he made an immediate impact for Northwestern, leading the Bulls to their first state title since 2019, guiding the program to the FHSAA Class 3A title. Northwestern finished the 2024 season with a 12-2 record and ranked No. 6 in Florida, according to the Rivals Composite High School Team Rankings.

According to latest Massey Ratings Florida high school school football rankings, the Bulls are ranked as the No. 2 team in the state heading into next week’s rematch with the Vikings.
The question will be since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be playing on Thursday night versus Atlanta and the Bulls playing the following night on Friday, will Bridgewater be up in the stands at Pitbull Stadium to root on Northwestern as they look to pull off a repeat?
