Texas crowds at high school football finals saw increase from 2024
The 2025 high school football season ended yesterday was capped by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) state championships at AT&T Stadium and all of the games were well attended by fans of the Lone Star State.
When it comes to Texas high school football, the fans come out in droves to support their respective squad and the numbers validated that. Nearly 200,000 spectators came out to Arlington to checkout the UIL state championship games, with a dozen games from Wednesday-Saturday taking place.
In comparison to states like Alabama, California, Georgia and Florida, Texas’ crowds dwarf those of the competing states when it comes to high school football talent. The Lone Star state saw an increase when it came to attendance across the board as the Class 6A, Division I title game in 2024 had 36,120 fans and improved by over 3,000 this year.
