One of the top high school boys basketball talents of the 2027 class has decided to take his talents down to South Florida. Not quite South Beach, but close enough.

According to a post by Prolific Prep (Fla.) on X, formerly known as Twitter, 2027 4-star wing Bruce Branch has transferred from Perry (Arizona) to South Florida’s newest basketball program in the 954.

‘Please Welcome @bkbranch3 to the Program. We are excited to coach you.’

The 6-foot-7 small forward attended the 2025 USA Men’s Junior National Team minicamp back in April in San Antonio, Texas.

Branch was a driving force in helping Perry win the 2024-2025 Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Open State Championship, defeating Sunnyslope, 63-44.

Among one of the top high school basketball prospects in the nation, Branch heads to Fort Lauderdale with a bevy of collegiate offers on the table already. The forward already has overtures from Alabama, Arizona, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, West Virginia and Xavier currently.

Branch will be joined by another top basketball recruit, Caleb Holt, who announced his intentions to join Prolific Prep earlier this month. Holt, checks in at No. 5 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking and is one of the top players of the 2026 class.

Prolific Prep announced back in mid-May it was moving from Napa, California down to South Florida and is currently constructing a brand-new, state-of-the-art training facility in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

“This move gives us everything we need — elite facilities, resources to support our student athletes, and a thriving basketball culture — to keep developing NBA-level talent and competing for championships. We’re building something special in Ft. Lauderdale, and I’m proud to lead this next chapter of Prolific Prep,” Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernadi said when the move was announced.

Since the academy’s inception back in 2014, Prolific Prep has established themselves as a national high school basketball powerhouse. The program has produced just under a dozen NBA players, 14 McDonald’s All-Americans, and also 15 Nike Hoop Summit selections.
