Virginia High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 4

The high school football regular season concluded for most teams in Virginia last week, and the top programs in the Old Dominion are now focused on the postseason.
Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Virginia high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov. 4.
1. The St. James Academy Strivers
The Strivers’ nine-game winning streak ended with a 35-0 loss to Maryland’s St. Frances Academy. Despite this defeat, having a 9-1 record in their first season is impressive and enough to qualify St. James Academy for the Virginia high school football state playoffs.
2. Maury Commodores
The Commodores haven’t lost since dropping their season opener. They dominated Maury in their last game 57-8. Maury scored all their points in the first half, leaving the game out of reach. The Commodores will face Granby on November 7.
3. Riverbend Bears
The Bears improved to 9-0 after their 43-14 victory over Massaponax. Ian Shook finished with 103 passing yards, 112 rushing yards, and three touchdowns. Camden Simmons added 94 receiving yards and a TD. Riverbend will try to remain undefeated when they face North Stafford on November 7.
4. Varina Blue Devils
The Blue Devils are still in the top five despite coming up short against Highland Springs. Varina tried coming back from a 20-0 first-quarter deficit but did not close the deal. Varina will compete with Patrick Henry on November 7.
