Virginia High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 11

The postseason begins in the Grand Dominion this week, and a jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Virginia high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov. 11.
1. The St. James Academy Strivers
While the Strivers closed the 2025 Virginia high school football season with a loss to St. Frances Academy, Darryl Overton’s crew compiled an impressive 8-1 record in their first season of competition. Things are looking up for St. James Academy.
2. Maury Commodores
The Commodores are on a nine-game winning streak after a 64-0 shutout victory against Granby. It’s their fourth shutout win in their last six games and they haven’t been challenged in their last seven games. Maury will host Woodside on November 14.
3. Riverbend Bears
The Bears completed a perfect 10-0 regular season after edging North Stafford 28-21. Camden Simmons was a bright spot for the Riverbend offense with 106 yards from scrimmage, a rushing touchdown, and a receiving touchdown. The Bears get a first-round bye in the Virginia high school football Class 5 playoffs and will face either Potomac Falls or Lightridge on November 14.
4. Benedictine Cadets
The Cadets entered the top five after beating St. Christopher’s School in the VISAA Division 1 playoffs. That’s a nice bounce back after losing to Trinity Episcopal the week before. Benedictine can exact revenge by defeating the Titans in the championship game on November 15.
