The 2025 Wisconsin high school football season has now entered postseason action.

Arrowhead Warhawks are the No. 1 team in Wisconsin heading into the second week of Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) postseason play, beating Wausau West, 56-12. Just behind Arrowhead is Muskego and West De Pere at 2-3 in the latest Top 25 Wisconsin high school rankings, according to Massey.

The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Here is the latest Wisconsin high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Oct. 28.

1. Arrowhead Warhawks

Arrowhead Warhawks (9-1) kicked off the WIAA Division I playoffs against Wausau West (4-5) with a dominating 56-12 victory. It’s fair to say the Warhawks are playing at peak level as they head into the second round against No. 18 Brookfield East.

Jacob Siner (974 yards, 11 touchdowns) has been the driving force behind Arrowhead’s offense this season and along with fellow back Jebari Craig Jr. (488 yards, seven touchdowns). Arrowhead starting signal caller Nolan Hanson (102 of 162 passes, 1,477 yards) has been steady with wide receivers Logan Crowley (23 catches, 319 yards) and Ryan Heiman (31 catches, 548 yards) leading the way.

2. Muskego Warriors

The Muskego Warriors (9-1) was on point to start off the Division I playoffs in a 64-16 victory over West last week. There’s very few teams playing as well as the Warriors are right now.

Muskego got off to a much better start and just recently upended top-ranked Arrowhead, 21-17, a few weeks ago. The Warriors have been playing very well defensively, allowing just 123 points this fall through 10 games. Muskego pulled off a 38-21 win over Mukwonago a couple weeks ago and now head into the second round of the WIAA playoffs against Case (8-2).

3. West De Pere Phantoms

Jumping up to the third spot in this week’s rankings is West De Pere (10-0) after they opened up the WIAA playoffs with a 70-33 win over Hartford.

The Phantoms’ offense has been on fire as they are averaging 46.7 points per game this season behind the play of quarterback senior quarterback Patrick Greisen, who has completed 193 of 275 passes (70 percent) for 2,842 yards and 37 touchdowns. Ryan Lutz is leading the ground game for West De Pere, with senior tailback rushing for 1,287 yards on 175 carries and 20 touchdowns.

West De Pere enters round two of the playoffs against Pulaski (7-3) this week.

4. Homestead Highlanders

Bumping up one spot in these latest Top 25 rankings is the Homestead Highlanders (9-0), after a dominant 51-14 win over Menomonee Falls in the WIAA Division II playoffs. What has been the backbone of Homestead’s success throughout the regular season is the superb play of their high-octane offense, which has averaged well over 43 points per game.

The Highlanders continue onwards in the D-II postseason’s second round this week against Elkhorn Area (6-2).

5. Waunakee Warriors

Waunakee (10-0) just narrowly edged out Chippewa Falls, 28-21, last week to open up the WIAA postseason. It was a close call for the Warriors as they head into their second round matchup against No. 13 Mukwonago.

The Warriors’ defense has been easily one of the best in the state, only yielding 108 points through 10 games.

Waunakee is looking to return to the top of Wisconsin high school football mountain top for the first time since 2021 and they’ll continuing relying upon a stout defense plus needing a solid campaign from starting quarterback Cole Krause. The 6-foot-2 signal caller passed for 243 yards in 2024.
