I think the hope is that maybe we can limit the OL issue to this year. I don’t see how this OL improves to the extent it needs to for us to salvage a playoff run.

Sark and Flood seem married. Flood could have taken the Boston College head coach job and stayed. I honestly don’t see any situation where Flood leaves while Sark is still there unless Sark’s head is on a chopping block. Still baffling how Alabama OL was so good with Flood and he is so bad at Texas. Maybe Saban was there to yell some sense into him every time he said he wants to recruit another 6’7” 360lbs StayPuff Marshmallow boy that is slow and clumsy and weak and can’t learn a blocking scheme

I doubt he’s had a ton of responsibility just yet. I think this tells us two things. 1) Sark foresaw problems 2) Sark might pull the plug midseason

Flood didn't get that job though he wasn't super excited to uproot his children. They have a good relationship, like Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

He could have a lot more input going forward if I had to guess. He was probably giving suggestions the past few weeks and now he’ll be giving orders.

The Run the Tape guy does make some interesting arguments about big slow people trying to run our offense against elite athletes. I’ve always thought our OL run and blocking schemes allowed for too much penetration/disruption
