ACCEPT THE BOWL BID (UPDATE) - I STAND CORRECTED

This is a get off the mat moment. This is a prove a point moment. This is a chance for the younger ones to play. I can’t believe so many want to be quitters and curl up in the corner. This is ND, not FSU. Coach Freeman would preach that you’re only guaranteed 12 games. Well guess what, ND has another. And they should take the opportunity and be violent. GO IRISH! ☘️

I have the opposite take. No reason for me to debate because You are going to be right.

Completely agree. Can only start the process to move forward. Obliterate some team, send a message looking to next year.

As I posted in the other thread, it looks like the Sun Bowl and the Holiday Bowl are the only two not on ESPN or ABC. Play in one of those.

Whatever they decide to do as a program. They better be on the same page. A 13 - 0 FSU spiraled after being left out.

Taking the bowl bid to potentially hurt starters for next year? Nah, I'm good with not playing another snap or earning money for ESPN. They literally screwed ND over

honestly I think either choice is an acceptable option at this point. I don't think Freeman makes choices based off emotions though

Mike Norvell and Marcus Freeman are not the same people.

This is Freeman's villain origin story. Starting today it's about leaving no doubt. This will fuel him. He'll be out for revenge. I don't think you can start that without going out for blood in a bowl game.

Absolutely not. No need to make $$ for espn or the acc. No need to risk injuries for a meaningless game. No need to pretend this is all ok

It will be elite coaching if Freeman can get this team to focus and show out in a bowl game. Gotta try it. Not accepting would be weak

Go ahead and debate. No need to take a jab.

There’s no chance Marcus passes on the chance to compete. I also expect them to put 70 on whomever they play.

And, again, this is ND not FSU. Give Coach Freeman some credit.

You’ve got plenty of young players who would want to play. Has Marcus Freeman ever run away from a competition?

They better not accept the bowl invite. Will be too many opt outs anyway.

The young guys needing playing time is not worth CJ Carr or whomever getting seriously hurt.

Take whatever game, tell the CFP and rest of CFB media plus the leagues to stick it and then go out and win by 50 no matter the opponent. Though frankly it won't matter to many, the talking heads are already snickering about how ND was snubbed and happy they are not in the CFP- including guys like Saban and ESPN reporters who ought to be ashamed of their biased statements that had no basis in fact - especially after bama was totally beaten by GA and taken to the end by Auburn plus lost 2 other games.

TCU vs. ND is a horrible game, who would want to watch? Vandy vs. ND would be good; ND vs. Texas I would love to see ND win by 50
