Anybody in here still think a 4-team Playoff is better than 12?

Just look at all these games all over the country that could affect the playoff because now we have 12 instead of 4. Entertaining as hell!

Without a doubt, 4 was perfect. There is pretty much never more than three teams worthy of playing for a national championship. Undefeated Texas A&M is walking into Tiger Stadium tonight and if they lose, the consensus reaction will rightfully be a shoulder shrug.

No way - just look at this "dud" weekend in CFB. How many games that are now meaningful now that would not be if we had just 4?

More football is never a wrong answer. Go to 16, eliminate conference championship games and replace them with conference play-in games and November, December & January CFB is unrivaled. Jmho

Only finding joy in games with playoff implications is a terrible way to enjoy the sport, first and foremost. How many games have already been played or will be played this year that would’ve been playoff eliminators in the past, but instead were ultimately not all that meaningful?

Ok please name those games and state why being eliminated in early Sept is good for the game for any team. The amount of important games in today's world is so much more than in the past and its not even close.

You do realize there was more drama under the 4 team model because losses were more crippling, right?

I've got YTTV so I got 4 screens going and I'm watching all of them. Got anything else?

When you have 2-loss, non-rival beating, non-conference champions winning Natty's it cheapens the sport....

Certainly proven with how much the top 4 seeds dominated last year.

Yeah man, Arizona St and Boise St would’ve definitely been selected for a four-team playoff and weren’t let in purely because of the 12-team format. You got me.

Games that had some meaning today because of the 12 team playoff instead of 4, just off the top of my head: Illinois/Wash Missou/Vandy - sorry guys in a 4 team playoff neither of these teams are sniffing it Baylor/Cincy BYU/ISU - no way BYU makes the 4 team Mich/MSU Iowa/Minny - Yes Iowa is not eliminated yet and they are very underrated NC Sate/Pitt- Pitt is still in it did you see their schedule? UVA/UNC OSU/Texas Tech - In 4 team TT probably already out which would be so unfair Houston/ASU Texas/MSU - Texas still in it until today unless they have a miracle USF/Memphis BC/Louisville Tenn/Kentucky- UT is not eliminated yet either Any questions class?

It all sucks. As long as it treated like Rhythmic Gymnastics in the Olympics it's a beauty pageant. The conferences need to be assigned bids and they sort it out themselves.

No byes and home field advantage are what make the 12 team better = every game has meaning
