Balas! BU gets an “F”?

We saw “F” level QB play virtually every game last season yet you showered that crew with C’s and D’s. Ha ha! Might be best if you get some sleep next week before you blast our freshman QB with a failing grade. It wasn’t great but not a fricking F. LOL.

I believe Balas was grading the whole passing offense including pass blocking, receiver play, play calling, etc., not just Bryce specifically. Bryce wasn't great but he wasn't nearly the whole, or biggest, problem in the passing offense, as I think Chris would agree.

Bryce is the best player on the team. Maybe a healthy Rod Moore but yeah we had a chance to win mainly because of number 19 being back there. Any given moment he can make a play.

I’d give the pass offense a D because they didn’t tun the ball over

It's the passing game as a whole, not the QB. That includes the line and the receivers. And it was the lowest completion percentage since Russ Bellomy. So ... yeah. The kid is a great talent and will be fantastic ... as long as they give him the help he needs.

Exactly. Without him, they probably don't score minus the Haynes run.

It’s all circular - we didn’t turn it over because of the conservative game plan. Smart in that sense, frustrating in another. Bryce will be great but it will take time and development, he wasn’t very good last night and that was totally reasonable. First time starters struggle - Arch last week, Dante Moore at UCLA. We need to remember the expectations we had preseason…none of this should surprise anyone

I’ll say it…again…ugly, ugly ugly…but, we had the ball in a one score game w 11 minutes left 65 yards from the EZ. in what will be our toughest combo on the road of talent and environment. We were bad but they were good in what made us look bad. Mateer was fantastic whether we “whiffed” a few times or not. Very good to great players make you whiff. He was the biggest difference in the game by far and the 2nd biggest was a combo of our OL and Bryce struggling.

BU is not the problem… I almost feel, we need to overpay next season for an elite WR (and of course, get this damn O-line figured out).

Have a get right feel good game next week. Win 2 of next 3 to get to 4-2. Improve a lot while doing so. Then, sky’s the limit. Anything less and it’s a LOOOOOOOONG season

This is hawt. Very hawt. Good of you to support fellow QBs that are on the field for their team. Hey, can you give us a comparison between Sharrone and Dan Mullings? I'm curious.

I agree 100%. Played a D level game and still had chances to win or tie. Just had some bizarre plays and OU had some good luck on top of their good execution. Zvada missed a FG he could make blindfolded Missed sacks No calls on holds, PI's, late hits (Semaj), they missed OU running into the punter (it happened twice but they missed one) McCulley blocking while being thrown the ball Dropped interceptions Just a nasty weird game.

Nah. Oklahoma gifted Michigan two or three plays to allow them to be that close. And it wasn't that close.

We shouldve tried to overpay this year. We needed receivers and o lineman. Badly. We got a few guys that are mediocre at best and others that can’t even play over those. Maybe there just weren’t great options to overpay in the portal.

We'll expand in next week's ITF, but that's the plan (WR help).

We gifted them plays as well. They also had some really good luck on some plays.

Those missed sacks were enormous game changers. Again, I don’t know if the offense would have done anything but we had Mateer stopped a few times (and he just made the plays he needed to).

I’m just so so sick of watching us flounder around on offense. I have no faith in Moore to produce a competent unit on that side. It’s a pattern and people should stop making excuses for him.

He used Mateer like a battering ram. He has a little wiggle to him but he was running HARD. Like we will never ever use Bryce like that even as a junior. Hes never going to be deliberately slammed into the defense. Good gameplan for Arbuckle though he sold out to win. Mateer is probably in an ice tub as we speak lol

If you think OU was the lucky team you are out of your mind. We were lucky to even be in the same stratosphere! They completely dominated that game!
