I wonder how much more has to go wrong for the guys up top to pull the plug on this. Assuming we don’t win another game or just 1 we have to be done here right?

This is all just so disappointing….feels like someone needs to just write the check and get these clowns out of here.

That being said....this is actually worse than the sleeping on the couch "allegation". Sideline passes? Really?

1) it’s ridiculous in the current climate that players families can’t have pregame sideline passes 2) that being said, color me shocked that Bill Belichick’s staff would play fast and loose with the rules. Never seen that before!

We need the N&O to weigh in and explain how this threatens the very foundation upon which college athletics are built.

1) hire inexperienced people who haven’t been actual college coaches and this is what happens 2) way to build a culture by giving preferential treatment to Dixon who from some accounts here knows he’s special and isn’t following the rules 3) reset the sign to say it’s been 0 days since UNC football has embarrassed itself

You'd think Hawkins would know better since he held positions involving recruiting from 2020 through 2023.

I looked at Bill’s employment agreement a while back, and I think it would have to be a big NCAA issue to fire him for cause. I doubt this qualifies. Interesting that this (the fact Dixon family had these passes) on TOS yesterday.

So would something like this be self reported? Seems like would have to be, right? The article is paywalled so I can’t read it.

TCU was a failure I thought almost unimaginable to repeat and even after an expectation reset following that game this felt right

This isn't a bad thing to me. Accountability. Also, it shouldn't be surprising that this "favoritism" thing was a rogue assistant and not something systemic Belichick is doing intentionally. Sideline passes and player tickets should not be something that's even on his radar. I think it's clear Belichick and Lombardi were not prepared out of the gate. Whether it was hubris or ignorance or simply not knowing the college game, they failed in the winter portal and I'm not convinced the staff as a whole is the elite staff we were hoping for (duh). But I also think a lot of this is being spun as a current Belichick failure and continued failure when it all stems from his first few weeks on the job. That's the only thing giving me hope right now, because I find it pretty unlikely he's not our coach for next season.
