Feel like writing was on the wall when he essentially became fourth string and was beaten out by his less heralded QB recruit Newkirk.

he couldn’t read a defense threw more interceptions than everyone else all year in practice. Wish him the best wherever he goes but don’t see him starting anywhere right away

Ah yes, surely those ahead of him must have been lighting it up for their “opportunity” to be given to them. Sorry — this should not have been the outcome here…very frustrating.

This shouldn’t be a shock to anyone. Looking at the depth chart this year should have been a clue. It was obvious he was not necessarily suited for the type of offense Belichick wanted. I wish him luck though, the kid has some talent!

Best of luck. Was hoping he could battle here but I saw the writing on the wall. His father has made it very obvious and public that hes been unhappy and hinted at the portal a few times

Agreed The actions showed what they thought of him. Makes complete sense to exit considering that.

4th string QB transferring...no big deal. Some just had high hopes, but reality was he was 4th string for a reason.

Ben, will Inside Carolina start reporting on contract details and potential money that is freed up/owed during these moves? I know that’s a tricky subject but very relevant.

You have no idea what went on in practice or in camp and if you did you would understand
