Brian Kelly has to fire Sloan and fix this mess during the bye

That game was pathetic. No excuses. Ole Miss just embarrassed us on national TV, and it’s time for Brian Kelly to stop protecting his buddies. Joe Sloan has to go. He’s a failed OC who only got promoted to help land Bryce Underwood. We don’t need a recruiter calling plays. This offense has no rhythm, no identity, and no clue what it’s doing. And don’t even get me started on Nuss. “Short Bus Noodle Arm Nuss” has fallen apart. He can’t hit wide open receivers, and now he’s throwing into triple coverage to kill drives. If that’s not enough to lose the 18 jersey, what is? He’s out here wearing Matt Mauck’s number like it’s a costume. We’ve got a bye week. Use it. Fire Sloan. Bring in a real OC. Strip Nuss of 18. Fix the mess before this season turns into another wasted year. (None of this will happen because BK is a snake oil politician who took advantage of an incompetent AD who overpays for mediocre coaching

Offensively we are awful in every way. How many 5 stars do we have to get to change this? It doesn't matter. Our coaches can not take advantage of them and it is not the players, it is the system stupid.

I actually thought Bk desperately wanted a natty but now I see he doesn’t. This lsu move was a let me see what happens on my way out.

Man, this is a quality melt. I don’t even disagree on the OC point but we’re stripping numbers from players too.

This is not Sloan's offense it's Kelly's . Sloan just works up the plays he see's from the press box and shoots them to Kelly. Kelly then decides if he wants to run them or not but has the final say in which plays to run. If Kelly was going to fire Sloan he would have done it last year but he didn't because he is an escape goat he can point the finger at when he loses. This is Kelly's offense and he should take responsibility for it.

Another season where Kelly’s going to have to fire an entire side of the ball’s staff. I’ve been a BK guy but this is the low point for me. I already know the program is going to be met with resistance when they try to pass the hat around during portal season. Another thing no one is talking about, they are going to be 20,000 South Carolina fans in Tiger Stadium in two weeks. Lose that one and things are going to get really ugly around town.

The old "Les is messing with the offense" excuse. Not anymore true today than it was then. It was terrible OCs then and a terrible one now. Kelly calling plays would be an upgrade.

Correct. Sloan can’t recruit, can’t call a coherent offensive game plan, and Nuss is regressing. It seems he’s in over his head.

Offense we have so many issues and play calling is number one. Also we have a personnel and a physicality issue. Realize OC should get brunt of criticism but what about Davis offensive line problems. Only reason score was as close was number of penalties they had. Something is wrong with Nuss with all those wounded ducks.

So say LSU had signed Underwood and he was on the roster right now - this level of incompetence would still be here. Kelly set this program back 2-3 years by going all in on a QB recruit. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have pursued Underwood or he will be bad or anything like that, but promoting Sloan to OC for one recruit was a colossal blunder.
