The backstory, per his Twitter, is that BK wanted to be there for his son on Senior Day but LSU leadership said no. Which, honestly, odd way for the kid to go about it but more than fair for him to be upset IMO. The weirdest part of this story is Brian Kelly's son calls him BK.

"You ever call your dad your boy?" "Nope. Never did." Emmy award-worthy broadcasting from SEC Network.

Yeah. I know. But then I wouldn’t have received this comment. I like this better.

Say what you want about Kelly - and there is a lot to say - but LSU have been jerks throughout this entire process. They made their bed with that ungodly buyout and need to simply pay it. With the way LSU fires coaches and are handling the Kelly situation, why would anyone want to coach there. And if they did, they better get a double iron clad big money buyout when dealing with those weasels.

I don't know how LSU thinks they can withhold his buyout on the rationale that they never actually fired him last month and besides, if they did, it wasn't for performance (did we dream all of that?). They're clowns.

I am no BK fan, but it is a public university, how can they tell him that he cannot be there...and if all the other parents of the seniors were on their, it is pretty bush league to prevent him from being there. Very strange if true. Maybe Brian did not want to be there. As for his son calling his dad BK and his "boy", even more strange.

But LSU only beat them be 3 points - maybe WKU should be invited to join the SEC.

The whole thing is weird I heard the lawsuit is headed for a jury trial. If true, that's yet another waste of LA taxpayer dollars Complete mis-management by LSU officials

I actually agree. And I don't understand why they just didn't fire him at the end of the season. I suppose if they get Kiffin, it's all good.

Not sure if its weirder than naming your son Kenzel though?
