He had his chance and refused to get an OC. Would love to see Brian coach here but only as the head coach. He’s already a better coach than Billy by most accounts.Spoke to Brian for a while this morning. Brian is someone i would love for Billy to bring back as an offensive coordinator. Yesterday I had a conversation with Spurrier Jr whom I LOVE. Just talking football. Nothing was spoken about when it comes to would either like the coordinator position at UF. The conversation was Gator football though. Its just my personal preference but there are some very good offensive minds for college that are out there. Some known names and some you have never heard of. Would have loved for Billy to shake the trees a little and bring in a dynamic ball mover. What AMAZES the hell out of me are the folks that are screaming for Lane Kiffin to set foot on sacred Swamp land, other than as an opponent. Maybe that's the difference in people who actually know what and who these coaches are off camera and behind the scenes. But I digress. Brian has a great mix of coaches that influenced him including Marty, Spurrier, Urban and others. My personal preference is 65-70% pass/run ratio. I prefer the quick passing game and no huddle to pro set huddles. I love a mix of 2 back backfields and 5 receiver sets. Curls, whips, Bang 8's, wide slants, Jerks, Skinny Posts and 9's I LOVE. 2 TEs with motion and outside runs. Hell, i LOVE the wishbone as a set to throw defenses off. Prefer Dallas or Vernell be the pitch runners if you run that set. Moving to defense...I'm a 4-2-5 defense with two yards off press, guy. Literally blitz a team from the time they get off the bus and from blitz from the DB's LB's, F's, double blitz and stunts. Well, just my thoughts today. Simply put, I just want to win. Those kids do deserve to be put into a better position to win. EVERYBODY will have an opinion. Some coming from the heart of a fan, who may have never even played high school ball. Thats not real. Thats emotional. Some Coming from people on this site that absolutely know football. I can find a way to respect BOTH. The one thing I do know, is not one single person would be here on On3 if they didn't love their Gators. Lets just pray for a turnaround.
