Gets blown out by a top 4 team and is their only team they’ve lost to but Alabama can get blown out by a top 4 team and lose to an unranked Florida State but still make it in ?

But many will be making an argument I actually generally agree with, which is that a team shouldn't be punished for losing a conference title game vs a team/teams that don't play in one. But the resumes are already close enough I think Bama will fall out.Gets blown out by a top 4 team and is their only team they’ve lost to but Alabama can get blown out by a top 4 team and lose to an unranked Florida State but still make it in ?

Exactly. Alabama is going to get in and only finish with two less losses than us. 🙄

Um. Today was Bama playoff game.
I already hate the “playoff” but if they get in.
I’m out.

Does Indiana stay at #2 (assuming they lose) or does Georgia and Tech pass them? I would bet that they stay #2 or only drop to #3 (in front of Tech) so it doesn't set up a rematch with Ohio St.

Georgia definitely going to 2 if Ohio State wins. If Indiana wins, especially if it's close, they may just swap.Does Indiana stay at #2 (assuming they lose) or does Georgia and Tech pass them? Alabama does have that terrible loss to FSU, and they also lost to OU. But they did split with UGA, while BYU got dominated twice by Tech. If bama and byu played each other, I think Bama is the better team and would win, possibly by a comfortable margin. The goal of the playoff is to have the best teams compete for the title. If I had a vote for that final slot between BYU and Bama, I’d put Bama in.Gets blown out by a top 4 team and is their only team they’ve lost to but Alabama can get blown out by a top 4 team and lose to an unranked Florida State but still make it in ?

Byu doesn't "deserve" it.
Big12 contenders need to schedule stronger. Unlike the sec/b1g, in non con. Beating Portland state, Stanford, and ecu isnt good enough for a 2nd team
A more likable team and id push harder because obviously a 2nd team is good.... but when your best win is Zona, you dont have a best win

Anyhoo…just wanted to drop that in, I probably agree with your opinion on this that Bama probably wins against BYU…they just didn’t even look as tough against Tech as we did for 3 quarters. If I had a vote for that final slot between BYU and Bama, I’d put Bama in.

I don't think that BYU is one of the best ten teams in the country, but I don't think Alabama is either. The committee should just put ND and Miami at 9 & 10 and call it a night. The committee should have fixed this two weeks ago, now they are either going to punish teams for making their conference championship game or they will have the wrong teams in the CFP.

My problem is that in an effort to find a true champion we have actually given more undeserved teams extra chances they haven’t earned because the big dogs cried about not being important enough and what happened is we gave up our top tier bowl tie ins because they all go to the SEC and BIG now. 3 loss teams or teams finishing 4,5,6 in their conference now completely remove our ability to showcase when we can’t even get a second team in. It’s odds. You are always going to lose and it compounds every year. Tech should get double elimination then I guess🙄

I don’t really think BYU deserves to be in, but it would be a bunch of bullshit if the ACC gets 2 teams in, one of which didn’t even play in their championship game that had a 7-5 team participating. The big 12 sucks, but so does the ACC, and them getting 4 teams in total in the first two years and f the 12 team playoff, and we only get 2 is horseshit.

I deserve it for watching a barstool clip and especially one with Gruden, but I am now dumber for watching that.
