CFP Semis likely to have 3 of 4 BIG teams

I think this CFP proves that SEC dominance is officially over. I favor IU over both Okla and Alabama. I'll take Oregon over Texas Tech and OSU over either Miami or Texas A&M. I'll be curious to see how the refs call the OSU and Indiana games as they will likely be BIG vs SEC.

I like Texas Tech over Oregon. Oregon is good, but I think Tech's defense can shut them down.

I think that's the best quarterfinal match up.

That is a great matchup on paper.

I think Texas AM will beat OSU..

I think the Big 10 has been the best conference of the past two seasons and it has excellent representation at the top. But the SEC could literally have six teams instead of five. And Vanderbilt is 10 and 2. They are the best conference in college football this season.

Interesting. I think Texas A&m and Miami could score some points on the buckeyes.

my gut tells me that all 3 Big Ten teams might not be quite as good as we think

It will be a home game basically for A&M so I’m hoping they win

This. The Big 10 is better at the top, but the SEC is far deeper.

Texas Tech rolled through a pretty mediocre Big 12. Utah & BYU were not great. Oregon will be a huge step up in competition for them. Would pick Oregon in this one.

I wouldn’t say that’s likely at this stage. All three teams have tough tests ahead. Oregon playing TTU in Miami. OSU playing TAMU or Miami in Texas. Indiana playing Bama or OU in California. Those are all losable games.

A&M defense pretty Suspect. Not sure they make it past Miami.

I’d slow down on the “likely” part. Time will tell. But to be honest, any final four that doesn’t include Ohio State is fine with me.

unfortunately I think A&M was a little bit of a product of their schedule this year. Not saying they are bad, but they didn't have a lot of big games. I think Ohio State has the easiest path to the semis.....because of course they do.

One of the things I love to say to my SEC friends (and they hate to hear) is "funny how the SEC dominance went away once everyone started using NIL." :ROFLMAO:

To me, OSU didn’t get any favors with its seeding. Potential match-ups against A&M and Georgia on the way to the final? That‘s no picnic. Go Aggies and Bulldogs!

Let’s hope you can say that again after this year’s playoffs.

eh, A&M may be good. But we don't really know. Good win over ND, but bad loss to Texas. Couple really close games vs bad teams. I think they're talented, but they had about as favorable schedule as you can get. I'm not sure they get by Miami. I'd rather play A&M and Miami over any teams that aren't Tulane or JMU.

I agree the schedule wasn't tough, but I have watched a bunch of their film and like them anyway.

You’re not making me feel good, Trogdor. I guess I’ll have to put my faith in Georgia. 🙂

Yeah, Buckeye fan travels but potential quarterfinal v A&M in Dallas would show a HEAVY Aggie presence. After hoping for an O$U Loss in the playoff, my #2 "wish list" result would be James Madison shocking Oregon. Or at least scare the bejesus out of them. I know it ain't happening but would like to see those annoying Autzen fans going OhhhhhhNoooo....early & often in that game #pissonthisrootfortheconferenceBS

All I want out of the playoffs is for Ohio State to lose. Other than that, I don't care.
