I spy GJ Kinne. I hopes he’s already been contacted!

Tell them to edit Dawson; I think they mean "Beck has emerged", or its an included quote from last year: "Through eight games, Miami leads the nation in total offense, averaging 560.8 yards. Ward has emerged as a frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy, too."

That is a pretty good list and many that match up pretty well.

Jon Sumrall will likely be contacted. I've talked to Pete on that one and he is pretty certain Sumrall will hold out for a good SEC job. So that's why he is not on there.

There are quite a few good options on that list.

Seems a little bit slapped together and lazy. No Goulesh or Klein. Never heard of the dude from wku. Knowles seems very unlikely

My son went to his camp over the summer. It seemed really well run given their amount of resources. My son also said he learned just as much at that camp than he did the UT camp for a DL player. FWIW.

Is the expectation that we hire soon or let the next coach finish the season where he’s at?

Monken is the best choice and not because of 2011. - His success (unlike many of the other names) hasn't been dependent on a certain QB or style. His offense has kicked ass with Weeden, Chelf, Carson Beck and Lamar Jackson........ - He's not a "system guy", as he's proven successful with everything from an air raid to a pro-style spread and more. - He's had enduring success in different circumstances, not just two or three good years where he lucked into a good QB or situation. - He's been up close and personal for years with several head coaches to see how it's done. - Extensive experience in both the NFL and college. - He familiar with coaching in Stillwater and knows the challenge and opportunities better than almost anyone. - The QB position matters more than anything. How many recruits would love to play for the guy that made Lamar Jackson an MVP. - I think he gets overlooked for HC gigs because of his age, and that's overrated factor IMO if(!) the passion is there. Hire a winner regardless of his age. Age could actually work to OSU's benefit.

Ideally from a recruiting standpoint of trying to keep what we got committed it would be nice to immediately get someone in place, just can’t see the NFL options bailing out on their current gigs before mid December unless their teams are slumping badly

He's too old imo. Same with Knowles.
