I have confirmed from both the LSU end and outside of LSU that Austin Thomas is no longer with the Tigers and is expected to return to Oxford - where he came back to LSU from two seasons ago.
With Lane now in Baton Rouge, he brought his Ole Miss GM Billy Glasscock - who replaced Austin when he left Oxford for Baton Rouge - with him for the same position in LSU's program.
There was a buyout owed north of $1 million by LSU to Thomas if he was fired, so this is a move where that doesn't come into play. He was making north of $800,000 at LSU, so I would guess he's getting similar at Ole Miss.

Good for him, he did a great job here even having to deal with BK. Hope he kills it this offseason and gets a new gig somewhere better before Golding runs Ole Miss into the ground

Very good at his job and it sucks he can’t be apart of what’s to come, but that’s how the cookie crumbles with a coaching change

Sad day. At least he built it all so Glasscock can reap the benefits. Same as he did at Ole Miss.
