Confirmed on Austin Thomas, Ole Miss as the move...

I have confirmed from both the LSU end and outside of LSU that Austin Thomas is no longer with the Tigers and is expected to return to Oxford - where he came back to LSU from two seasons ago. With Lane now in Baton Rouge, he brought his Ole Miss GM Billy Glasscock - who replaced Austin when he left Oxford for Baton Rouge - with him for the same position in LSU's program. There was a buyout owed north of $1 million by LSU to Thomas if he was fired, so this is a move where that doesn't come into play. He was making north of $800,000 at LSU, so I would guess he's getting similar at Ole Miss.

Good for him, he did a great job here even having to deal with BK. Hope he kills it this offseason and gets a new gig somewhere better before Golding runs Ole Miss into the ground

Can’t wait to see the clowns at OM brag about this as if they stole him away from LSU 😂😂

Very good at his job and it sucks he can’t be apart of what’s to come, but that’s how the cookie crumbles with a coaching change

part of moving around a lot is having multiple organizations always willing to hire you. This is a free market so the value of a candidate is generally easily observed. LSU elected not to retain and another program instantly scooped him up. Dudes like AT, Frank, others will always have options.

I’ll kindly disagree. I know you have a personal relationship with him so are going to be biased regardless, which is cool, I would be as well.

Sad day. At least he built it all so Glasscock can reap the benefits. Same as he did at Ole Miss.

I know your friends with AT but one of them just put together an 11-1 roster while the other put together a 7-5 roster. The 7-5 roster was also more expensive than the 11-1 roster. Seems pretty obvious one of them does a better job

I know you are good friends with AT, and I think he's great and will continue to be great at what he does. But Glasscock has built a playoff roster 3/5 years.
