Hope he'll be okay. I remember Phil Petty passed away suddenly in his early 40s a few years ago.

Someone said it took 20 minutes on the field to get a pulse. Another said he was in critical condition in Greenville hospital. Hope the news is better this morning.

I remember when Petty and Shaw were recruited. Damn. Petty was too young to go. Conner is too. You just never know when your exit ramp in this road trip called "life on earth" is near.

During his weekly Carolina Calls radio show, Beamer said on Thursday morning, he was told that Shaw was "alert and communicating."
