To be clear, I’m in the pro-DeBoer camp, so this is just an earnest question with no underlying agenda.
Their boards and “insiders” seem to have really honed in on DeBoer’s name now that Elko’s extension is signed. I find it hard to believe he’d jump, but I’ve been a bit surprised at the degree to which that narrative is still alive over there…

I don’t think so.
with that being said, if we mess around and somehow lose the Iron Bowl I find it hard to believe our fanbase is very rational about things..

No shot he leaves Alabama for PSU

Fan base being rational about things won’t have any impact on his contract with the university or his relationship with the AD and administration. If he’s happy with the support he’s getting from the administration and where we stand moving forward with NIL and rev sharing he’s not leaving. If not it’s possible. Loud mouth sidewalk fans with no skin in the game and who don’t support the university in anyway won’t be a factor.

His agent is Jimmy Sexton. Raise season for a lot of coaches. He won’t leave but will require us to give him a raise and extension more than likely

Can’t imagine he would leave, but if he did I can’t imagine the chaos it would cause. Talk about a shit show…….prayers he is loving Bama.

I doubt there is legs to it. I’ve been surprised before though: Franchione. This job and Tuscaloosa isn’t for everyone.
That being said, if he is shopping around then I commend him on how hard he is working to recruit kids to Alabama while also looking to leave.
I am not particularly concerned with him leaving for a college job, but if a nfl job came calling I do believe he’d give that some serious thought.

Fran was dealing with probation, scholarship reduction, and an athletic department that didn’t have good alignment combined with a toxic booster culture. DeBoer has the exact opposite of any of those issues. He isn’t going to leave the premier program of College football for what is no better than the 4th best job in the B10. Anyone saying that the expectations at Bama are too high or the pressure is too much simply don’t understand who DeBoer is as a person & Coach. PSU fans are wishcasting and throwing a well known name into the discussion because they have already been told “no” by their top 2 targets in Cignetti & Elko.I doubt there is legs to it. If anyone is dumb enough to leave Alabama for Penn State because they can’t handle the pressure (which I’m sure is what they’re saying), they probably weren’t supposed to be here anyway.
Saying that, DeBoer had the balls to replace Saban. So the answer is fuck no. Why on earth would he leave the biggest brand in college sports to go to fucking Penn State? How dumb even is that train of thought?

No. Their board is obsessed with him. They are obsessed with with a few coaches and until they announce an extension they hone in on them. “Well he hasnt signed an extension yet!” As if he isnt on year 2 of his current one.
