He was just asked what he'd say to the fans. Here's the paraphrased answer: "There's nothing I can say other than let's go back to work. This is a tough year to this point. But the year is not over. "We've hopefuly earned a lot of credibility around here. There's been a lot of great years. A lot of great years. But this is a tough one. "We've had a lot of success, but right now we're not. I take the good with the bad. I don't like it, but that's my perspective. I promise you I've never worked harder and I continue to do everything I can. "I promise we'll be back. We'll win more championships. It might not be this year but we will win more championships. And I think we have the track record that demonstrates that."

Okay Dabo but the returning roster and the offseason moves you’ve made recently don’t inspire confidence that what you’re saying will transpire. In fact your track record in the NIL era with regard to roster management, portal usage, and coaching hires has been horrific.

The problem is...he wont adapt to the new era. Thats why the message is falling flat with a lot of the fans. Our millionaires arent being pushed by the people behind them. That's why I love JaheiM Lawson. Hes Clemson through and through. He's probably making a fourth of what TJ is making and outplaying him. Heldt knows what its like to lose. I feel bad for him. Thats why he plays harder than everyone else. The injustice that has been done to Smith and Alexander is atrocious...esp Smith..

Oh really?! forgive me, I’m just being a smart ass. There’s nothing to save this season. I’d like to see significant changes within the organization to prove we’re still committed to winning at the highest level, otherwise I’m going to lower expectations to Bowden-era Clemson and get fired up for beating NC State and Wake Forest.

A year from now he will still be living off his track record. This program is cooked. It won’t ever win another championship under him. He is done. He doesn’t have a generational QB and one of the best defensive coordinators for ever do it to carry his sorry ass anymore. Sorry about it. Those are facts.

I know he likes the sound of his own voice too much to do this but he really just needs to say "we suck, no excuses, I apologize to the fans, this one is on me." I don't care about how good we've been in the past right now
