Is it time for Mizzou to lock down Drink the way Indiana did with Cignetti?
Is that even possible? Does Drink want the Florida job and there’s really nothing that Mizzou could do?
My guess is still that if Drink leaves Mizzou it’s for Auburn.

Drink is not leaving for Auburn imo--that place is a total shit show and under revenue sharing it isn't better than our job. FL a little different, but given FL State and Miami are in the same state and obviously a few other good schools (Central FL, South FL) the ability to generate true NIl that can get through the clearinghouse is not as good as Mizzou in my opinion. I suspect there are lots of conversations with Drink in regard to what we are going to do contract wise and I would be willing to bet quite a bit that he is staying.https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-gators/news/updated-betting-odds-and-a-new-favorite-for-the-next-florida-coach/ Is it time for Mizzou to lock down Drink the way Indiana did with Cignetti? i know these guys all think “well, it’ll be different for me”, but man, look at some of these schools like aub are just train wrecks..and florida’s ad will be out in the not too distant future…drink will never be given the situation he has at mizzou…lsu is a place you may win a title and get fired the next year..i guess thats worth it…to me,!i would rather have a place where i run the show for 20 years title or not…and i guarantee that while the AD likes drink the admin and donors at florida do not, so right away you are going into a situation that is not great…the slightest hiccup and it’ll be rough sailing….and also while he has done fantastic things at mizzou he still has not won anything of substance. Folks rave about higher recruiting than ever at mizzou, but how much of that has been no other coach has had nil to help?

FWIW the Florida fan site has a thread asking them to name their top three choices. Kiffin Is the clear number one. Lincoln Riley, Jeff Broehm, James Franklin are popular choices after that among others. I scrolled through the first three pages and Drink appeared on only two out of about 60 posts. He was 3rd on one and 3b (thus 4th) on the other. Seema like he would not be real popular with the fan base if he’s the hire. Remember what happened with Greg Schiano at Tennessee.

As for Cignetti, I would be willing to bet quite a bit that he is staying at Indiana.
