Gundy, do what's right for the University and take a reduced buy out and retire.

I will definitely verify you've been one of the staunchest hold outs.

Agreed but won’t happen. Unfortunately, it’ll get worse before it gets better.

The home crowds will shrink, badly.

I legit don’t know what worse looks like if this isn’t it.

It's time. Gundy's too old for a rebuild and I'm not sure he knows where to go from here.

Gundy is too stubborn to retire, so I have to agree with you. I think things will get MUCH worse before they get better.

They should. Was actually impressed with fan support given what went down last year.

I honestly don't understand what anyone, ANYONE, saw leading up to this that encouraged you to wait to turn on Gundy. He's been effing awful as a coach for several years. The only thing that saved him was a miracle DC hire.

Agree. Early in his career I wasn’t always a fan after Monken was gone but his teams seemed well coached and disciplined. I haven’t felt that way in along time. It’s been slipping.

No chance he’ll do that.

We were on a decent trajectory headed into 2024. 2 out of the previous 3 season in the Big 12 title game with OU and Texas as members of the conference. Now? Dude needs to step down. Current problem? I'm not sure I have confidence in anyone on campus who would have the ability to select the right coach.

That would be acceptable for something like 42-20. This is going to be a school record margin of defeat.

Losing to Tulsa at home will be up there. That will trigger the end IMO

2 things. He hired Nardo and switched to 3 down. That completely destroyed that side of the ball. And he was slow to adapt to NIL.

I would also consider myself one of the staunchest holdouts — at least from a “be careful what you wish for… the grass isn’t always greener” perspective — but even I’m done. And the sooner the better. This is indefensible.

At some point there is no down side or risk. A legit organization doesn’t let it get to that point. But here we are.

There can’t be a downside when you literally can’t get any worse! 😑
