Hugh Freeze is the worst Auburn coach of all time

outside of two good recruiting cycles every aspect of everything he has touched at Auburn has been a failure The fact that we’re carrying him over week to week ia pathetic yet expected of Auburn at this point

There’s no way I can say that after what Harsin did to this program, but he’s arguably answer 1(b).

After he’s fired, with the new landscape of college athletics, he would have effectively done nothing for Auburn University other than set us back further. Sad state of affairs.

Wins and losses wise “no doubt”.

I just don't understand how offensive coaching can be so bad. PT and JA are almost the exact same story so I can't even really put the blame on the QB position. I wonder where we'd be if he'd just gotten a top flight OC and played the role of "GM Coach/Recruiter-in-chief".

When you put it like that, it sounds bad…

Kind of crazy we hired two historically bad coaches back to back

I can get on board with this.

No, he’s Exhibit B in the bad coaches museum. Exhibit A is obviously Harsin.

His recruiting has earned a 5 and 15 record versus the SEC. Pffffff

That’s the saddest part. Completely shat the bed twice in a row.

Hugh has done way worse on the field with way more talent By far the worst coach in the SEC

As long as Earl Brown’s record exists, that isn’t so.

I would agree with you, had hobo hew not just started 0-4 for the 3rd year in a row.

I think you can make a pretty good argument that Harsin was the better game day coach and would’ve won more games with this talent.

I think you can counter-argue that his negative charisma would have assured that this talent would not have been present in the first place.

As long as they don't all end up transferring out, Hugh will have left us with better talent than Harsin, Earl Brown and Harsin. George Bohler also deserves special mention for having a 3-11 (0-10 conference play) record as football coach and 6-15 as basketball coach. You have to be really bad to kill two sports. If Cadillac had pulled off the OT win against MooU (sadly and unknown at the time--Mike Leach's last win), he'd technically be our second all-time winningest coach behind a guy who went 1-0.

No question that he wouldn’t have been able to assemble this talent. Just saying from a pure game day standpoint, Hugh may be the worst

He is blaming QB's just like he always does. He seriously thinks his system is not an issue.

We need boycott visors in Auburn. No more coaches in Auburn that wear visors

Harsin was a horrible fit and was doomed before he set foot in Auburn. He is also incredibly arrogant. He is also a much better football mind who has no business being a head coach at a P4 job. Hobo Hew is not even viable to be hired as a HC or an OC in P4. Truly incredible that TPTB allowed Gus to roam sidelines for several years too long and then went back to back with these hires.

His 5-14 SEC record is comparable to Matt Luke’s 6-18 SEC record at Ole Miss after trying to rebuild Hugh’s mess and probation
