I just don't understand how you can watch that game yesterday and say "no, blow the whole mf'er up"

DJ had 5.5 days to get his team ready to play on the road against a bubble playoff team with a generational QB. And nearly won. Ya'll were BEYOND patient with that fvcking dumbass Hew. We put together our best performance of the season and ya'll are ready to turn over the keys to some limpdick hillbilly who won at Troy or some other bloodsucking grifter with a greasy smile. I stand with the players. It's DJ. And if we don't make the obvious hire, then this program deserves what it gets.

But what if it's simply not Durkin? Or a new HC but Durkin gets to stay? Gotta look at everyone that wants to come. If Durkin is really the best candidate, then the cream will rise to the top. Durkin will be the pick if he is the right pick. But you don't shut down all searching over one game. Auburn is owed it's full due diligence. Durkin is trending heavily upwards with me, fwiw.

I understand doing your due diligence. But let's be real. Who could realistically navigate a 50 player exodus other than Lane? If it's Lane, then you have my full support. But that's the ONLY guy I'd pick before DJ.

Billy, this is assuming that no one learns anything over the course of a decade. It also assumes that DJ would be picking from the same pool of staff candidates as he did at Maryland.

The patience afforded Hugh should transfer to the staff that actually held it all together and turned the offense around yesterday. GREAT point on the PATIENCE afforded Hugh

No other noteworthy program is looking at Durkin for their Head Coach vacancy, and you have to seriously contemplate why Auburn should if nobody else we compete with is making that consideration. Are we smarter than everyone else that is also looking for a new HC? History says absolutely fuckin not.

Drink and Sumrall certainly can’t do it. Franklin would be marginally effective at it. Lane would be the only one to stop the exodus over Durk. And I just don’t see Cohen throwing $14M+ at Lane

Yesterday was exactly the same result as the rest of the last two years. We’re now 1-8 in 1 score games in the last 2 seasons. Most of those losses we’ve blown 4th quarter leads and in the 1 win we blew a huge multiscore lead and won in OT because they dropped a 2 point conversion. Whoever the coach is needs to change this trend or Buyout U is going to be doing Buyout U things. wde
