There are so many bad ways to go, but to me a bad hire would be marked more not by who is hired but rather the process in which they are hired. Is stricklin running this by himself, again? Is he the one negotiating and being taken to the cleaners? Because a bad hire is one where he IDs the candidates, goes after them, strikes out on 2 or 3, has to settle for a 3rd or 4th candidate, then signs them to a ridiculous contract with a terrible buyout. More concerned about this than any particular name tbh.

I really think it’s a crapshoot and nobody knows how it will pan out. Riley to USC seemed to be a slam dunk and he hasn’t had much success. I just would prefer someone proven. Don’t think it’ll happen though.
