I’m so sick of CKD rumors

These so called “national correspondents” like Heather Dinich and Adam Breneman trying to create a narrative that Coach Deboer is not happy here. Both of them tried to tie him to the Penn state job citing he may not be happy here. From everything I have heard along with the resources Coach has here, there is no reason why he WOULDN’T be happy here.

The Monday morning after the 2012 SEC Championship game Mike Greenberg went on Mike and Mike and said he thought Nick Saban was leaving Alabama because....of the look on his face. Greenberg had a lot of Nick Saban takes over the years. All of them wrong.

They did the same thing with Saban for 15 years lol. How many times was he going to Texas or the NFL? If people haven’t been to T-town or walked the facilities they don’t understand. We are THE BEST. There is no one close to us in CFB. If you leave Alabama for another CFB job it’s because you want less pressure, in which case Alabama is probably not the right job for you. The current NIL Wild Wild West makes the playing field different bc you have some schools who can throw more money at things but we aren’t miles behind and the other aspects are all in our favor. Also, I would much rather have the coach mentioned for top jobs than not. If nobody else wants him that’s not a good sign lol.

I have no personal knowledge of whether he is or he isn't happy here, but after the way we acted Labor Day weekend (myself included) it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he isn't. That was an ugly scene and a gross overreaction on our part.

Look at it from their, and most national pundits and fans, perspective. Saban was a machine for 16 of his 17 years here. 2007 was a transition year. The GOAT retires and you celebrate he’s gone and Bama is going to go back to being a top 25 team but no way they stay a top 3 program. And then…after a transition year and a weird game in Tallahassee, Bama is still a top 3 program and isn’t going anywhere and is possibly only going to get better with each year of learning by Debo and more of the staff and Courtney Morgan’s evaluations. Remember, this current recruiting class is only his 2nd. It’s only going to get better. It’s 100% Bama fatigue. They thought it was over and now the painful realization that Bama isn’t going anywhere is perturbing.

That’s every blue blood reaction, Larry. You know that’s what comes with the job. It’s no different than Ohio State or any other blue blood.

No one with a functioning brain believes Deboer is leaving.

I live in Penn State country. Nothing that our fans did after the Florida State game is unique. Penn State fans are just as bad, if not worse, than Bama fans when it comes to expectations, but are 10000% times worse in how they act. If KDB is unhappy here because of how fans act towards him, he would be miserable in State College, Pennsylvania.

Along that same line of thinking, it would be nice for those same haters to create some distractions for this years team as well

I think DeBoer's high character disqualifies him for consideration for Penn State.

Meh, the pressure would be the same at Penn State or any big time job. Hell, look at AU. They think they're a big time job and have placed all the pressure in the world on Freeze. Penn State is miles beyond AU as a job. Long story short, if he's not happy at Bama, I don't think he'd be happy at Penn State.

Don’t disagree, but I believe the notion that he would leave that to go to a school who just fired their head coach 9 months after being in the semi-finals is hilarious.

It's really weak minded to be triggered by this. If you have a good coach, his name will come up for jobs. How many rumors are there that brother Hugh is being pursued? None, because he's terrible.

Just like Finebaum, these people throw so much shite against the wall and if some of it sticks they get to yell "told you so". It's amazing that people can get paid to put this dribble over the airways.

KDB if fine in Tuscaloosa. We have every resource he needs. Hes built a solid coaching staff, they are recruiting well, looks to be developing QBs at a high rate. Things are rolling. Going for a 4th top ranked win in a row this weekend, ranked 6th in the nation. It’s all good. I wish more bama fans would truly get behind him and stop overreacting at every issue or mistake we have and killing KDB and the team over it. We need to get behind these guys 100%. We retired the GOAT and we are still amongst the top! We have a coach who is like 10-1 against top 10 teams! Cmon!

I mean, everything about this tweet is moronic, but the entire "clean path to the playoffs" thing is such a joke. Especially when Big Ten pundits are saying it (Breneman played at PSU). First, it shows that they think the Big Ten is weaker than the SEC. Second, there is no such thing as a "clear path" to the playoff and there is no reference point to make such a statement. Third, they are essentially saying that KDB isn't good enough to win in the SEC but good enough to win in the Big Ten, which goes back to point 1. Lastly, it assumes that coaches like KDB are afraid of competition, which is such a dumb thing to assume.
