Is Cohen man enough to go after Hew for breach of contract?

Hew had an expectation to try. He didn’t. Done lay him his buyout and sue his ass for every nickel he collected

I get the anger at him but we need Yeller & Co. to be held accountable for their stupidity on this hire. Y'all (PTB) wanted him so bad, be men of your word. Sack up. Maybe you'll think twice about another equally stupid hire, because we all know they're trying to make one. If it's a for-cause situation, he didn't do anything that we know of. We're all about those Hauwhlbrenb values until we aren't. The dipsh*ts that wanted him need to choke on the buyout.

There is no way Jimmy Sexton (or any agent) would allow any escape clauses in HF’s contract. They are professional negotiators and get paid to fleece people like Cohen. The trouble for Auburn is there is no one at the top that is willing to give away (to a professional) this little slice of power and authority. Jimmy Sexton must laugh himself to sleep every single night. BTW, this is a common problem for all small organizations . The commissioners in Fulton County (Atlanta) will never give up control and management of the airport, even though none of them have a clue how to run an airport….as an example.

Is discovery still a big threat to a program now that paying players is legal? or is the problem of AU paying coaches who weren’t working (Harsin & Freeze) a big enough problem to outweigh discovery threat?

Based on what I've read, discovery may make Hugh permanently unemployable. Use it as leverage to negotiate a reduced buyout.

Will that hurt future coaching searches? What about recruitment? When other schools point out well bankrupt a player just like we’ll bankrupt a coach? Shouldn’t we mad at who hired Freeze? You know, literally the same people in charge of replacing Freeze.

What’s Hugh’s current financial situation? Wasn’t he not so great after leaving Ole Miss, so he has what he made at Liberty? And, what, 3 daughters (and grandkids?)? Digging in to fight may be worth the risk…..

So long as the money is actually redistributed to the players…… or at least appears that it is.

A lot of us wanted him because we saw the success he had at OM, putting up points and recruiting like mad. We were just coming off a dude from tater country who didn't believe in recruiting, and Lane told us no. I agree with the OP though, it seems like he did not try, and he got paid way too much to not even give a crap.

I mean it’s also pretty much the biggest airport in the word so some must have a clue.

If we're planning on giving it to DJD, I say go for it. I'm not sure how well it will go if we are going after someone else. "Come to AU! We will fire you within three years, and litigate until we don't have to give you your buyout!"

Sales is probably the most under valued skill in life, Negotiating is not only under valued but also largely overlooked . I am 100% positive that every contract Sexton gets signed has been scrutinized many, many times trying to find loopholes. When, and if, that happens they close that loophole going forward. Sexton’s company does BILLIONS in contracts, not going to bankrupt him.

He absolutely should if Hew was spending as much time on the golf course as everyone says he was.

You my new BFF. I don't GAS about who done what or who pays for it, though. They gone do it again. They can't hep they selves. Boosters gonna boost, baby. I'm used to to it now. Me, I'm obsescinated with all the ways people pronounce 'Auburn', and more particularly, with how some of us go about spelling some of those sounds that come out. This one here is HOF material. Hauwhlbrenb. Uh huh...

What we saw tonight on offense with Hugh being gone for just 5 days probably made him permanently unemployable
