Sucks. My assumption/perception was him probably being more of a threat to NFL. But part of why I said Kansas State could overturn half their roster. Was always going to be situations like this too with a coaching change. Part of the new world. Sucks big time!

Rough. I really like Jayce, but I wonder if we can do better with the NIL he was getting. Good player, but oft injured and sometimes disappeared. We now need a #1 WR.

Any chance Collin and or whoever his OC is can re recruit him back to the program like KU did with Bidunga whenever they start the job?

Don't think so because they were already in contact and communicating.

I’m guessing this is a sign they lost that battle already.

With how close Jayce and Avery are does this impact Avery’s decision at all?

Sure, with the highest offer. The reality of this situation is a guy like Jayce probably should secure the biggest payday he can in his last year of eligibility. He's probably a draft pick, but his frame doesn't scream longevity.

How much does this hurt at retaining Avery? I know it was said that they were close, and Avery valued keeping Jayce.

Wouldn't rule it out.
