Mistake by KU. Surely could find 40 players to show up for that game and haven’t made any staff changes yet. Missed chance to get young QB chances to practice amd play

I imagine losing a silly bowl game like this would be worse for program morale than just sitting it out

So KU was bowl eligible.

And I also think there's a point where you say you're not going to go out and play with a bunch of third string guys and not even have enough backups. That's why everybody else is turning this down.Mistake by KU. Surely could find 40 players to show up for that game and haven’t made any staff changes yet. Non CFP bowls that can raise the payout will survive - the remainder will fade out and we’ll see those remaining take on a more $$$ benefit and they’ll get quality teams making them playable but less teams in bowls which I have zero problem with - that said you’ll like have to be ranked or in the T30-35 and at least 7-5 or 8-4 to get a money bowl.. will flip the current bowl conference alignment on its head and shuffles the deck.. this is the beginning of that..

I don't think any of the seniors would play.

So it’s Big 12 title, CFP or failure of a season. Since we declined to go to a bowl game, that incentive needs to be removed from Lance’s contract.

I have to assume the player numbers had to be the deciding factor. No way we turn this down if we had the numbers

The seniors and others have already packed up. KU is no different than all of these other schools who are turning it down as well.
The season has been over. I think it's just too late to try to pull something off. Like I said if other teams could have pulled it off it the choice would have never fallen to KU.
