I think tonight just encapsulates why Durkin as a HC isn't just an automatic continuation of elite defense like everyone assumed. As HC he just won't be able to drum up that effort every week. We'd still need a good DC, and at that point what's the advantage of Durkin? Roster retention? And that's not shitting on him for tonight. He was put in a tough spot.

Sumrall will have us in the CFP next year or the next

It sucks for the next coach because it will more than likely be the biggest rebuild job in Auburn history

Not wrong, definitely gonna be tough seeing some of the guys on the defensive side leave though. Just part of it I guess

This team tonight actually played an exciting game. I wish the defense had played better, but I could actually sit and watch the whole game without turning it off.
