Kiffin buyout interesting, favors FSU

If he leaves, he owes Ole Miss $3 million. HOWEVER, if he leaves for an SEC job, he owes $37 million. So imagine LSU coming up with the $100 million to get rid of Kelly, the assistant coaches, and hire Kiffin?

I think he does a Gundy and stays at Ole Miss.

From what I've found, there is no difference in his payout to Ole Miss if he leaves for an SEC school. Where did you find the $37M figure for his payout if he left for an SEC school?

If OM doesn't lock him up in the next week or two like Cignetti and IU, I would guess he's made up his mind to leave.

I think Kiffin leaves for a reason not discussed on here. Kiffin is a nomad. He has never stayed in the same spot for too long. He's at the end of his stay and ready for new scenery.

FSU would be THE perfect job for him. He’d be a beast there because that conference sucks out loud.

Difference this time is his whole family, even including his ex-wife have all moved to Oxford. If I'm him I'm heading to UF if they can swing money/buyout money or FSU. He'd kill it at both schools and give them both back their swagger but not going to be surprised to see him stay at Ole Piss, he has it made there. I'd stay the fuck away from LSU at all costs.

If he leaves it won't be for LSU. Florida is a far better job and that offer is a monster one. He's got ties to Florida too. That's where he met his wife. Zero ties to LSU.

Pretty sure that’s not accurate. Ole Miss owes him 37 million if they fired him.

Florida is not a “far better” job by any metric

I don't think this is accurate at all. He would be owed roughly $37M if he were fired without cause. Florida is actively offering him the job, so this is 100% not accurate.

Recruiting base alone... You don't have to leave the state if you don't want to.

Wish that was true, him in Tallahassee instead of Gainesville would be awesome

I'm the exact opposite. I have him staying at Ole Miss but honestly I think he leaves.

Louisiana produces tons of NFL players and LSU grabs the vast majority. One of the best recruiting bases in the country

You don't have to in Louisiana either really. Recruiting has never been an issue at LSU
