The field’s getting stormed if we win. UGA’s owned us 8 years in a row and been the best team in the SEC over the past 5 years.

Only way I rush the field is if my daughter wants to do it. If she says go, we’re going. That memory will trump anything.

I second this big time. I’m tired of rushing the field. Yea we haven’t beaten them in a while and blah blah blah… but we’re still a top 10 program right now. I think if you’re in the elite group of college football, field storming should be incredibly rare. Examples… 98 Florida and 22 Bama were worthy of a field storming for me… however, there is no game in the future we should storm the field for. also… it destroys the field and puts a tremendous amount of pressure on field crew to get it right in almost impossible windows of time. Guaranteed whoever is in charge of the fields horticulture, absolutely hates it

Why do people care??? Stuff like that is what makes cfb different. You all that are saying don’t do it are acting like UGA hasn’t been the top dawg in the sport the past what 5-7 years??? We haven’t beaten them in almost a decade. If the fans wanna do it, go do it! It’s what makes this place special. Our love & passion for our football team.

Because at some point, you don't want to give people the idea that you are rushing the field because it is a new exciting thing for you to beat a rival.

Because it is a new exciting thing for you to beat a rival, or because you beat a team you haven’t beaten in a decade that’s been the best team in the sport the past 5-7 years with 2 nattys to show for it? My point

I say lets DO rush the field! It is fun for the players, fun for the students, and shows the passion we are known for.

If you're the only one rushing the field and her memory is of you getting planted into the turf by police officers, that would be an interesting memory for her for sure.

I don't think storming the field after beating UGA would look very good. And it would be expensive. I don't watch the NFL. This isn't a "nonsense" view

Last year was so stupid. It’s like they couldn’t make up their mind if they were going or not. To each their own, but personally I think field storming should only happen when it is a top ranked rival and the game is won on the last play of the game like Bama in 2022 and Florida 1998. I get that spur of the moment crazy excitement, but if we are kneeling the ball to close it out act like you have been there.

When we win, and we’re going to win, do not rush the field, how embarrassing to rush the field against Georgia… it’s Georgia for crying out loud…

Agree with you but also agree with the OP. We're historically a much better program. They've had a nice 8 year run, but they're still an inferior program, just in their golden era.

The "don't do it" crowd basically just wants to make Georgia feel second rate, and I totally agree with that. They've been great for the last 8 years or so, but if we beat them and then don't rush the field, they're going to feel indignant about it, and that would be awesome. A reminder that their last 8 years aren't anything special and that Tennessee has 50% more national championships than they decent after their impressive short run.
