This is very short. Don’t have much else right now besides what’s been reported - HERE
•Two sources in attendance said, "Ryan Williams was awesome today." One used the term f’ing awesome. "Looks like what all have been hoping to see more consistently. Best player on the field."
Was told the offense looked really good overall. "(Austin) Mack looked great! They both looked good. It’s a good problem to have."
As we reported earlier in the week, Michael Carroll has been working at right guard. Coach DeBoer addressed…
“We’ve rotated Michael Carroll in there some,” DeBoer said after the scrimmage. “Michael is so diverse, you know, he can play guard and tackle, and it’s been great allowing him to see what he does best. But also get some guys some reps, we need tackles. You know, Mike’s going to be one of our three to four, three main tackles, no matter what. You know that.”
Carroll has primarily been at RG all week, per a source. With Jayvin James at RT. Jackson Lloyd at LT, Nick Brooks at LG and Racin Delgatty at center, as far as who has worked with the first team, at least for this week. William Sanders would have likely been the first man up at LG if he was participating this spring. Good to get Brooks as many reps as possible as the potential starter. I know many hope the starting five is settled before the end of spring, but it still feel like they are going to give Sanders an opportunity to earn the nod when he returns.
I shared this the other day, but I haven’t heard how each looked in the scrimmage. A few different sources praised the D-line transfers, especially Devan Thompkins and Terrance Green. One saying, "Both are NFL guys. Studs."

Good to hear about Thompkins and Green. Arguably the two most important players going into the season

This is Ryan's money year. Perhaps he has decided to spend less time focusing on podcasts and his public persona and more time on becoming a top draft pick.

Andrew Bone with the nug, no fluff, no frills, Just vibes, sources, and Ryan Williams. [Verse 1] Two folks there said, “Buddy, Ryan was a problem,” One said “f’ing awesome,” I did not stop him. Best player on the field, that’s what got said, Had defenders out there looking spiritually misled. Looked like what folks been hoping to see, That “oh yeah, THAT dude” consistency. Every route crispy, every move violent, Made the whole practice sideline go silent. Then somebody whispered with a tear in they eye, “Brother… that young man is unfair outside.” If spring got a king, put the crown on williams, Defensive backs need a support pavilion. [Verse 2] Was told offense looked really good overall, Austin Mack looked great — yeah, he was ballin’, y’all. “They both looked good,” that’s the word in the air, Good problem to have when both dudes out there. Quarterback room got folks rubbin’ they chin, Like “hmmm, now THIS where the fun begin.” One source basically said, in football translation, “Buddy, we got ourselves a healthy situation.” Ain’t no panic, ain’t no doom in the room, Just spirals, confidence, and springtime zoom. If Mack keep cookin’ and the room stay right, That battle gon’ feed this fanbase all night. [Verse 3] Now let’s talk trenches, where the rent gets due, Michael Carroll at right guard, that’s old news to you. Coach DeBoer said, “yeah, we moved him around,” Guard and tackle both — that boy utility bound. Said Mike one of the three or four main tackles too, Which in football coach-speak means “yeah, he can do.” But source said RG where he mostly been parked, Tryna find the best five before the leaves start. Jayvin James at RT, Lloyd at LT, Nic Brooks at LG, Delgatty snapping cleanly. Will Sanders probably first man up if he was springin’, But Brooks need them reps, let that young fella keep swingin’. Folks want the starting five wrapped up in a bow, But they still gon’ let Sanders compete when he show. That line still simmerin’, not fully done, But at least right now they buildin’ somethin’. [Bridge] And before I go, one more little crumb, For all the sickos who love defensive gumbo drums— Transfers on the D-line got some praise too, And buddy… it was not the polite kind, dude. [Verse 4] Devan Thompkins, Terrance Green got love, One source said “NFL guys” from above. Then followed it up with “Studs.” Real plain, Which in SEC language means “good luck runnin’ that lane.” If them boys really what the whispers imply, Quarterbacks better keep both hands high. Big fellas movin’ like rent due Friday, Collapsin’ pockets in a deeply rude way. So that’s the nug, that’s the scoop for now, No twenty-page thread, just enough somehow. Ryan was him, offense got juice, And the D-line transfers might be downright abuse. [Outro] This has been Bone, with a short little jam, Half football report, half Tuscaloosa slam. Practice one nug, and the hype has begun— Spring ball in Bama, buddy… we run. This is very short.
