Michigan is beating Oklahoma

Hot
Underwood can handle the environment. Oklahoma has a great home field but BU can handle it. Kid is not a freshman. He exceeded my extremely high expectations last week. I remember first game for Brady was on the road vs ND in 1998. He played exceptional but just way too many fumbles by the special teams and running backs. Defense also got run over in the second half. Nothing to do with Brady. I expect Bryce to have 4-5 runs around the end on a collapsing defense. This will help our oline significantly. Mateer has never seen a front 7 like ours even without Barham for the 1st half. Am I concerned with Hill getting beat? Sure but nothing is perfect. Michigan is tougher, nastier and more physical. Byrce will not make more mistakes than Mateer. Greatness awaits 19.

Bryce has an excess of moxie. Agree the moment will not be too big for him. If we can limit mistakes, TOโ€™s, drops, missed assignments, and play sound complimentary football, Michigan wins and announces their arrival on the national scene. Go Blue

This is great news because I canโ€™t remember a single instance where a message board poster has ever been incorrect with a prediction. ๐ŸŽฏ

I'd love it if you were right. Because this is a road game, I'm a little pessimistic about the Wolverines chances. I'd feel a lot better with a noon start in Ann Arbor. Having said that, it's great to be playing a meaningful game in the preseason. Before last season, that wasn't happening very often.

I think Bryce shines under the lights. He might do Oklahoma bad lol through the air and on the ground. I know Chip is itching to put some points up.

Honestly, I may be in the minority but Iโ€™m feeling a potential blowout. Oklahoma has a nice D but there is something to be said about a team that believes. This team believes Bryce is the truth. Chip is aggressive and trust Bryce to get it done. A couple of early big plays will ignite this group and it will snow ball. The energy feeds both the O and D. Mateer is a nice college player but a lot of his stats are against much lesser defenses than what heโ€™ll see Saturday night. This just feels like a GO Blue coming out party for this new era.

After Michigan beats Oklahoma, get ready for all the commentators who picked OU to win and cover to report with conviction that the Sooners really aren't very good.

@NotTom and I just watched a bit of Oklahoma O vs Illinois St D All-22. Oklahoma pass protection is pretty good, but they don't run block well at all. 54 was pretty bad. 52 was pretty bad. They struggle running counter. One thing they ran a bunch of is Free Access throws. This is sort of like an RPO, but the decision is made pre-snap. They called a run play and their X is running a route based on CB leverage. When Illinois St. played soft, he ran a hitch and Mateer just takes the snap and throws it. Everyone else is running the called play. One time Illinois St was in press and the X ran a go and Mateer hit that too. Those are tough because they attack leverage. Wink will need to disguise which I'm confident he will and try to bait some of these.
